What were the most special moments of the tour?

Such as great tags or speeches...

I think of Dublin: the it's ok tag ("I don't want to say anything bad about america, I just couldn't wait to see people singing here")

Dublin: Education and Boys are back in town

Arnhem:Betterman with no woman no cry tag...beautiful!!!! (later Ed changes the lyrics to no woman I cry!!)

Antwerpen: Modern Girl tag and of course Hunger Strike

Marseille: Wishlist tag, Fatal, Off He goes...

I'm pretty sure the Berlin version of black will be outstanding (very long tag with great audience)

Any great and pretty long tags in mind??? With great lyrics???

For me, Europe 06 carried many magical moments.
Probably the best was Verona opening with Release. Ed's dedication to the love of his life in Milan was also fantastic, together with the Tom Waits song. And of course... Man of the Hour :)

Daughter and Black in Milan... incredible.
And just hearing Ed talking Italian, and all the boys being so happy :)
... and the will to show I will always be better than before.
  • Matt's solo during EvenFlo in Dublin.....all the other guys leaving the stage completely .....it was great......absolutely amazing and not expected....
    Cheers,

  • Black in Dublin - even though it's such a special song and would probably have to be my all time favourite for many different reasons, I really didn't expect it to be so emotional... boy was I wrong! :o

Just had chills the whole way through me! And it's great that it sounds so amazing on the boot. Thankfully that outoftune girl obviously didn't know the words :o

Marseille was a huge show for me. So many great and rare songs. Amazing show.

Verona was also pretty special. We were stood right at the top of the venue, behind a lighting team, with the rain pouring down, it was great!! Soaked but great!! :D

Pistoia, Spin the black circle, need I say more!!

Lisbon II: 30+ songs, and the guys were just so up for the performance. By far the best show I have seen and I think they truly like to visit Portugal.

    The audience was awesome too.

    Specifically -
loved the improv that stemmed from the audience soccer chanting.

Daughter and the interplay of singing (Ed and audience) was tremendous - lots of respect shown. Pretty much the whole show was filled with interaction between stage and audience. The ambiance was infectious throughout the whole night.

And last, when Ed noticed my sign (Play in Florida) and responded. It was fun, funny and a thrill.

From the 4 shows I've been to (Dublin, Antwerp, Marseille & Paris), this is my top-5:

    1. It's OK - Dublin
    2. Fatal - Marseille
    3. Crowd singing Black after the song had finished - Antwerp
    4. The Boys are Back in Town - Dublin
    5. "Finally", Eddie's first words in Antwerp.

    Arnhem:

    * Bu$hleaguer
    * Eddie walking/running near the crowd

    Antwerp:

    * Black (the final minute)
    * Crazy Mary (Mike and Boom part duelling solo's)
    * Eddie talking to the Belgians in English because the Belgians can't decide either talk Dutch or French (nice joke).
    * I forgot Hunger Strike with Andy from Wolfmother. Although many "PJ" fans on the board disliked it, I really enjoyed it. Really nice to hear that song!!

  • Black in Berlin was outstanding incl. the crowd
The dedication af Come Back to Late Mr. Ramone was beautiful! The whole Berlin show including the arena, the crowd, the wether and a playful band made it a very special night.
Run away my son. See it all. Oh see the world.

    My boot skips...:(

Fairy dust coming your way for anti-slips.... :D

For me it was Dublin. Not only because it was only the second time I was PJ (and there were a few emotional moments!) BUT also because I met loads of incredibly lovely people with whom I had been chatting for a while. Some of them were for the first time and some others I had briefly met before Astoria and it was a chance to get to know them better! Incredible time before, during and after the gig!
  • Dublin - For me it was the first time seeing them and was very emotional, especially being lucky enough to see Education for the first time ever. It's Ok, black brought tears to my eyes.
In Zagreb, Education again :D, Eddie Scaling the scaffold, All or None was special and Yellow Ledbetter made it for me too. Also it was good to be surrounded by a huge crowd of people who were seeing them for the first time. I knew exactly how they felt when I saw them teary eyed. Regardless of not knowing a word of the language, I knew exactly what they were saying.

looking at jeff's face during the matt drum solo in dublin......his mouth was wide open, i'm guessing it was in amazment and i was right there with him in amazment!!!

or ed walking out on the stage in the middle of the intro to inside job (that cheer still gives me chills!), giving us a little wave then proceeding to blow us away!
  • Verona:

    -"My Verona"
    - At one point having Ed, Jeff, Mike, and Stone all rocking out together in small group! So cute.
    - Opening with Release
    - The weather made it even more special!

    Milan:
    -The crowd (very loud)
    -Daughter
    -The ending of Black
-Ed dedicating "Picture in a frame" to his wife! Awww so sweet!!

    Turino:
    -Hearing the whole Avocado album!!
    -Tremor Christ
    - Ed pointing out flags and Stone reminding him about the "Rainbow" flag! lol

    Pistoia:
-Ed singing Throw Your Arms Around Me (Beautiful)
-Ed throwing me a tambourine :D
-Ed climbing that thing right infront of me (crazy Eddie)

    Prague
    - Everything! :D
    -Getting all the "man's" BEAUTIFUL!
-Ed Pushing the butterflies away with us! lol
    - Um EVERYTHING! :D

    Berlin
-Black!! While, Milan's Black was outstanding...this version just made me cry! BEAUTIFUL! I can't wait to hear the bootleg. Ed added something about "time heals.." awww!

    - The wave thing that was going on before the show! lol That was hilarious! Crazy Germans! :D Love it!

    - Present Tense

    - Jeff at one point breaks into a cute and very funny dance! lol

There's so many moments I'm sure I'm forgetting!!
EvilClosetMonkey is my hero, he is AWESOME!!!!!!
  • Daughter tag in Paris Another Brick in the Wall Part II

Instead of "hey, teacher leave those kids alone!" we got "President Bush leave the world alone!", gives me chills when i hear Eddie growl that one!!!!

RITFW with the lights on in Paris, being able to see everybody jumping up and down was awesome.

Pistoia Black - Best tag and version of any song ever ever ever ever ever, errr yeah i quite like that one!!!! ;)

Eddie climbing the scaffolding at Pistoia too, everything just blends into one big highlight!!!!!!

Nice to know that someone out of the country love the show. It was a amazing concert... One of a kind....
    I'm myself like you somehow.....
  • I can't judge in an overall perspective...
Zagreb was great because of the climbing part that C2V3N already mentioned, acoustic set, Education!, awesome audience and to me because Eddie took my hand and nooded so nicely.

Listening to European boots I can say this was a fenomenal tour..I wonder what members of Pearl Jam consider special and memorable..would really like to know... ;)
The worst enemies of music? Money and Mathematics. Combined with music, they both do the exact opposite of what they're supposed to do. Money makes music cheap, mathematics makes it stupid and predictable.
