Sorry, no. I have a relative with a very similar name so this caught my eye (but she's just a kid). Good luck, hope you catch up with your friend.

This is My first serious post in quite sometime now. If any of you do know this woman please reach out to her first before you dime her out. As you all know , you can be anyone in this Brave New internet World of ours. Now back to my mourning glory dump.
  • So if we know this person, first and last name because of you now we are supposed to let her know that someone called Dcelani wants to really get in touch with her?

    Yes, creepy.

Don't know her but wish you luck.

Not sure if that's her username in the subject line, but maybe doing a search to see if she's a member here would help.

    Yes, creepy.

If you know her you can tell her that, she's can contact me if she wants, I'm married with a kid and she was my friend and pearl jam is my only remaining connection to her. I just wanted to talk to her, not trying to be creepy.

If she's any relation to Jack Bauer you may want to back off.

I don't see why it is so creepy, of course it has that potential but there's no reason to jump to that conclusion.

I have a few college buddies I've tried to look up, guys that were really good buds back in the day. Oddly, so far I've only found one on line, a very good friend from '69 through '74. But what I found was his obituary. Dead of cancer at 60. Damn depressing it was. The good thing though is I found a late photo of him and put it up with all the others that circulate on my laptop desktop. Good times, good memories.

Brian, I am so sorry for you! That's really sad!

Right, no reason to poke fun or attack. Smart though if you do know this girl to give her a heads-up first.

I don't see the issue with trying to reconnect with an old concert buddy or whatever.

This phrase is used often, but fits perfectly here....Ignorance is Bliss

If you know this woman please reach out to her first before giving out any information about her. It's obvious people on here have no idea how hard and scarey it is to get away from someone they want no part of...think about that for a minute. Flush

You haven't the perception to understand what people here have an idea about, we are all in agreement that informing her is the smart thing to do. Being smart about giving out people's information is not an equal (or even related) concept to assuming that someone searching someone else out is a creeper perv.

    Stick to the topic! Haha.

Pretty sure the moral code of passing on someone else's contact info is to make sure beforehand that it's OK to do so.

Hence the hint that this thread should be stopped.
A random OP asking the forum to help contact a random person who they share no personal friends with?
    WTF?

Hence the mention of the so-called moral code.

Though sometimes I don't get the point of locking certain threads, it's pretty much the Mods' call...unless someone is so bothered to have it stopped as to report or request it.

I really didn't see weirdness in either the initial post or the follow-up one. Just someone trying to locate a friend.

So now you are able to understand everyone's perceived intentions? Wow...What an amazing gift you have.. For the record I never called anyone a creeper perv, so get your shit straight pal.

One can never be to careful when it comes to shit like this.

+1. I don't either. Someone was trying to track someone else down. No need to lock. Nobody is a creeper. It wasn't requested to sticky this thread either.

I've had people reach out to me to see how Tree/Whispering Hands is doing. I didn't find that creeperish at all. She thought it was rather thoughtful and it touched her heart.

Good luck tracking her down, Dcelani.

I would hate if people put my full name out on a platform that can be read by anyone. I wish you good luck and hope your intentions are good, but I think putting the full name out was not needed.

Most of us are on FB forums, no? Our names are out there and I embrace that. It's nice to put a screen name with a real name, :-).

the argument can be made that they possibly signed up just to find this person. i hope they do.

If mods wanna close this they can, I welcomed funny creep comments, not serious ones. It's not in anyway an attempt to get personal information about her, no one has to give me anything, merely asked if anyone knew her and that I wanted to reconnect with an old friend. I have no way of getting in touch with, I live states away and I haven't spoken to her since avocado days, and it is impossible to fb a name like that from 5 states away. I don't even know if Bauer is still her last name, she's 30 something and probably married. So if this bothers anyone I apologize I meant nothing more than to reach out to an old pj friend of mine, from a cherished time in my life when pj was my only obsession and I had no responsibility but to fund tours. So with that said if anyone knows her and wants to pass it along that someone named Celani was asking about her then I'd be fine with just that. If she wants to she can dm me or Facebook me I am much easier to find. I only have 2 post cause I stopped my membership after being shut out of "lottery shows" after 13 years, probably my fault I went for the good seats everytime, thanks.

Again with pushing this? Not getting it.

Dcelani, there is/was a member from the old boards as well as this one with whom I've lost touch and haven't been able to find. She was a dear part of my life when it began to change for the better.

Best of luck (and great attitude).
