    Just answer it.
Funny the most travel for the band was a 5 hours...i travel 35 hours to go to santiago from Greece!!!

Haha this so much. The closest a show will literally ever get to me is a three hour flight or a 12hr drive and that's the closest. On average it's about 12-16 hrs flying and at least 2000-3000Kms plus away.

Someone should re-do the survey with more realistic answers in google forms or survey monkey and then we can all answer again and get a better result

So can I still be a 'super fan' and not travel overseas to see the band?

I have bought exactly one thing this year from the shop - a mystery poster. I would have bought one more thing - a mystery vinyl.

definitely. But I think the options were huge fan and big fan, not superfan.

They should have asked what's most important to you as a fan. For me it's live shows. I could give a shit about the merchandise. Not that I never buy a shirt, but certainly don't waste too much time or money on that.

the travel question is subjective...east coasters can go to so many shows within a short travel distance. West coasters are pretty much forced to travel for longer. 3 hours to go to Portland, 5 hours to drive to Spokane.

Also, by plane or by car? I will travel longer by car than I will by plane.

I would very willingly travel 5+ hours to see a show. My limit would probably be 10 hours in car for a show, anywhere by plane is fine. If only I had an unlimited amount of money...

10 hour flight from Europe to Detroit - 7 hours in a car to Moline from Detroit was pushing it- especially after a late night. Then seven hours back to Detroit. Then ten hour flight back to Europe. :pirate:

I'm an East coaster and I've travelled 1O + hours by car. That was just to get to the first show. Did 3 in a row and drove back. It was a BLAST. Great memories.

  • Some of the questions should have been
Do you plan a Pearl Jam concert vacation before obtaining tickets?
How often do you seek information of a possible Pearl Jam tour per year?

well yeah, I drove 8 to see them in Missoula...that was just one show. I went with a ticket buddy and drove all the way to Calgary. Edmonton and Vancouver. I would do it again.

I hate the plane, I hate Big Bertha giving me a complete feel up in the middle of the airport after Alpine...
