Russian rebels? Or Ukranian rebels? Or.....was it even them? They deny involvement (like that means anything), and their case is pretty compelling. Who has blood on their hands from Iran Air 655 being shot down? I realize that was 1988....but it sure seems a lot of people are stuck in the Cold War era in regards to Russia anyway.
U! S! A! U! S! A!
Fuck yeah.
Along those lines we could really derail this thing with 911 conspiracies.
But let's get back on track.
Really stupid of Russia not to take Turkey seriously? Or really smart? Seems strategic.
aw, I'm so disappointed that that thread cost me credibility in your eyes What makes you think Russia did not take them seriously?
No loss of credibility, Drowned Out. Don't know where you got that from. And apologies if you read anything I wrote that way.
Also, I think that Russia knew the consequences and deliberately got its plane shot down. That's what I meant by seems strategic.
Since it seems as though I am having trouble putting words together in a coherent fashion, however, I'll take my leave for the time being.

Sorry, maybe I had you mistaken for someone else....I took a lot of heat from people who aren't usually all that hostile toward me in that thread....and it annoys me when people frame conflicting info as conspiracy. But whatever, no hard feelings...no need to take leave. I stopped posting for over a month after that 9/11 thread and no one noticed or cared anyway
What makes you think they did it intentionally? Is that a conspiracy? haha...seriously tho, how would that benefit them? I suppose since they're sending anti-aircraft missiles to Syria now, it could have been an excuse to do that. I'm seeing reports today (from supposedly legit sources) that they never crossed the border, and that Turkey is intentionally provoking Russia...which would lead me to believe that it's Turkey who is not taking Russia seriously.

This might sound crazy but I might agree with Drowned on this one.

How about Korean air lines flight 007 in 1983? At least the u.s. "thought" it was a f-14.
