that's a bit too big for my taste! can they fill really that in Poland??
But if the build the stage on just on the goal line facing away from the field then the arena will have the proper size with a huge ground area as well as seats all the way around. Depending on the sales they can just move the stage as they see fit. It will be a great venue if they do that.

Indeed. They did that when R.E.M. played the Cardiff Millenium Stadium in 2005, reducing the capacity to around 25,000.......an achieveable sell out for Pearl Jam.
A democracy on paper, apparently well ordered, regularly subverted by irrational chaos.

Over here in Holland they sold about 25.000 tickets for the 2006 Concert in Arnhem Gelredome (A soccer stadium with a capacity of about 30.000). A lot of people didn't think that many people would come to pearl jam, but it was almost sold out, not bad for such a small country. So I guess anything is possible
Polish biggest newspaper 'Gazeta Wyborcza' announced that Pearl Jam WILL play in Chorzow on Slaski Stadium on 13th of June. As they said this is sill an unnofficial info - band is going to run a press conference at the end of January and announce details of 2007 Europe tour.

wow!!
oh scary... 40000 morbidly obese christians wearing fanny packs invading europe is probably the least scariest thing since I watched an edited version of The Care Bears movie in an extremely brightly lit cinema.
Right in the middle of the university exams...
..but yeah...FENOMENAL!!!
As it says... Nie jest to jeszcze oficjalna informacja ..so I'll wait, until is official and then I'll do my "dance of joy"..
The worst enemies of music? Money and Mathematics. Combined with music, they both do the exact opposite of what they're supposed to do. Money makes music cheap, mathematics makes it stupid and predictable.

I do enjoy German beer but personally I think Holland and Belgium have the best beer in the world. My favourite beer (which I cannot even buy in Canada) is Oranjeboom. Holland also has Amstel, Bavaria, Grolsch and Heineken.
And Belgium - Stella, Leffe, Hoegaarden, etc.
I like all beer though

Hate to put a damper on things but wasn't it what a dutch radio said for pinkpop? It turned out to be a rumour....
No it wasn't. It's totally different. People quoted the Dutch radio thing completely wrong.
00: 7/2 (cancelled...)
05: 9/11,9/12,9/13,9/15,9/16,9/19

poland is also only a rumour. the radio station refered to a polish pearl jam forum - and that's not an official source
