where you get your info from
There were rumours around in Poland since few days. today polish fanpage http://www.pearljam.vis.pl (sorry guys it's all in polish ) confirmed - basing on good source from ANTYRADIO (polish rock radio station). Show is to be officially announced on January.
We all keep our fingers crossed !!!!
Cheeers !!
That would be awesome!
Let's hope it's true.
excellent!
now is that a proper concert or a festival?
the kids aint gettin no hols
love the optimism for next year you have already in your sig
A proper concert, it is said it's going to be held at Silesian Stadium in Chorzow (http://www.chorzow.info/galeria/albums/userpics/10075/normal_PIC_0009.JPG), which is quite big and there is no chance they will sell it out. However, the stadium is like 10-15 minute walk from the Spodek arena in Katowice (yes, Katowice and Chorzow are, let's say, quite close), you all probably know from 2000, so they could always move it there...
If these rumours are true, obviously.
We'll need to wait till January for more info...
I mean, they couldn't just go and play one gig, right?

Ah that's just drunk talk, sweet beautiful drunk talk.
-Barney Gumble-
I just wonder why the fuck they didn't play the whole damn continent???
Poland was a must. Everytime i listen to the Prague bootleg i remember all polish guys shouting "You forgot Poland"

Oh yes! If this is true, we're so there!
See all of you friends again! And them, of course
It would be sweet. We shall see though...
there was a group following through Europe, met several of them, they were wearing the 'You Forgot Poland' shirts practically every show and got lots of goodies, including from Ed...was actually drinking up with them in Berlin before the show..all very nice people so looking forward to go there!
hopefully not the stadium though..unless we get the 10c tickets then it won't matter yeah that's what I was talking about! they were just behind us too..cool
...and these shows seem to be getting bigger and bigger.
I would have said they weren't big enough for stadiums in Europe but it seems they might well be and with fellow Carling festival headliners Muse selling out Wembley Stadium in just 45 minutes, maybe PJ will follow in their footsteps.
I'll be surprised if we ever get a conventional arena tour again

Proud to say I was one of the touring Poles.
The most memorable thing was Ed changing the lyrics of YL in Prague to "I will never forget you there" while pointing at me and my friends, who were waving a big flag.
Anyway, if they decide to play at the stadium, you foreign fans have to help us fill it. Seriously.
I know. PJ have a nasty habit about dropping bombshells way to late.
We like to plan our tour! I doubt Paul would want to be our driver again!

chin up.... santa may come through this year
I'll be there as the Polish crowd is maybe the most creative and polite crowd I've ever seen!!!! I will keep my fingers crossed for you guys (and for egoistic myself of course!!!) but what about a bloody show in Budapest after 10 years of waiting and a cancelled show in 2000???????
Eddie: Dublin & London
Well, I heard about a rock festival in Katowice/Chorzow last year - it supposed to be a one day gig with an Audioslave as a headliner. Seriously, there were such plans. But this time it's gonna be a proper show - I think it has sense: festival tournee, and a couple of a stadium gigs (Poland, Iceland). Or maybe they'll play in Poland together with the Audioslave?
A cooker? Go to Polish restaurants instead - they're cheap and the food is the best in the world. Ed would probably confirm - he used to have "kielbasa king" as a nickname
Well, well...remember...there were 2 sentences in Vienna..."We wish luck to these people here from Hungary. We were talking about your country earlier" That might mean something...
So, let's keep our fingers crossed for this!!!

hey dave,
yeah, I'd love to go but in all honesty I'm not sure we can afford it next year, cooker or no cooker.
If theres some UK shows we'll be doing our best to be there....if not then I'll be saving for the US in 2008!
