This is the 10th one I've seen in the last 6 months for sale. Have never even seen one for years and now they are coming out of the wood work...

    Ah to be a Sony rep...I interned for Mercury Records my 2nd year of college and my roommate and I would get all kinds of wild promotional shit mailed to us. Too bad vinyl wasn't the "in" format during the middle/late 90s.

    Seems very strange to me as well. I picked up one of the single colored Samplers on eBay two months ago after rarely ever seeing them for sale. I saw two 6 record sets on the Bay today and ended up Buying a GITD PJ20 never played on a different site for less than my single disc Sampler. Weird such limited items are surfacing seemingly in droves. Will be double checking some matrix IDs as it is scary to think someone may bootleg these items after nearly everything else LP-wise in the back catalog has been booted lately.

    Update: GITD PJ 20 fell through - seller had regular version wrongly listed as the rarer item. Bummed, but the deal really was 'too good to be true' category so I guess I had my guard up from the onset.

    when crooks know devoted fans will pay shit loads of money for something, they are going to make fakes, it started wayyy back with that ten basketball disc and the green marbled vs from what I can recall. As long as people keep shelling out $$ for blue Avocados they will make them. Buying a boot disc is pointless, it defeats the purpose of a legit press- SOUND

    Was thinking of selling mine. But for the prices there going for I don't want to take a loss. Bought mine a few years ago for $1500 without the box. Interested in seeing what this goes for.

    Seeing the number of these for sale and the number of people I know with one, there has to be more than 100 out there. At least I thought there was only 100 of them...maybe not.

    In all this is a awesome set. Pains me that I'm thinking of selling. I just like posters better and selling this set will help with my addiction : )

    I priced these at no more than $800. They'll be down to that sooner or later. :-)

    anyone need the empty sampler set box?

    I have been told three have been discovered in storage, and are available.

    Not cheap at $500 a pop, but wanted to drop it here in case anyone who has bought the complete sets and missed the empty boxes wanted to upgrade their sets
