Are there any other bands that actively do this? Just curious
It is a cool idea, however I don't see it realistically getting implemented anytime in the near future for most acts as a normal entity during tours0 -
Dead & Co have been live streaming all shows they do for years now. Nugs does a great job. And, also the audio files are up to download hours within the show ending.ForceofNature101 said:Are there any other bands that actively do this? Just curious0 -
I saw Slash about 10 years ago and they had physical Cd's ready about 40 mins after the show!EM194007 said:

An official live stream would be spectacular. I have watched many PJ shows on Periscope.2014: Cincinnati
2016: Lexington and Wrigley 10 -
Just googled Periscope... so can you only watch on a mobile and it means someone in the venue has to stream? Sorry, I'm a technical embryo

Something I would gladly pay for after being shut out for tickets lol. But I'll get in building for the shows i want too, I always do one way or another. But would definable pay for shows not close to home. Pretty fucking cool idea . Hope it happens, I'm in. just curious. What do other bands charge for this per show?'92 Philly 04.10

Instant Live. The Allman Brothers, KISS, Phil Lesh, The Black Crows and others used them as well back in the early 2000's. Instant Live was a Live Nation program. That didn't stand the test of time.unforgiven said:

Yeah, that part they have down already but there's also the networking portion. Wouldn't be no thang for a band the size of PJ though.SandyRavage said:
Bands usually have a camera crew with them to broadcast to the screens on the side of the stage. I know pre-2000, this was an anamoly and only the best of the best did this, but im pretty sure since 2006 maybe(?) PJ have been using a camera crew on tour with them. You take a camera crew, and you give them a production manager that has to choose the best shots, WHICH is already being done for the screens in house. It's not as hard these days as most are led to believeKN219077 said:This takes a lot of infrastructure, Phish are pioneers of streaming hd shows. You don’t start doing this on a whim. The band should absolutely do it though if they are capable. The instant bootleg process is also where it’s at!0 -
Dead&Co was $39.99 for one night (NYE) but they do offer packages I believe to cut down on costs if you order multiple shows (or whole tour). I think it was an additional $10 or $15 to add the audio download as well but not certain on that cost.Hoagie Breath said:Something I would gladly pay for after being shut out for tickets lol. I’ve been hoping for this for a few years now. I’d be much more interested in buying live video stream of shows than more bootleg audios.'95 - San Diego '98 - Phoenix, San Diego, Las Vegas, Inglewood 1-2 '00 - San Bernardino '03 - Denver, Council Bluffs '06 - Denver 1-2, Los Angeles 1-2 '09 - Universal City, San Diego '11 - PJ200

It's a bit odd that they HAVEN'T done this already, givent he success other bands have had with it, and that they were one of the pioneers of releasing every show from a tour. As others have mentioned, Phish has been doing this for years. You might think you wouldn't be into watching from home, but it's big fun to watch with friends in the comfort of your own home, with all of the party favors you prefer, and it really helps to kill the FOMO we all feel when we can't be at a show. DO IT!0
