Jimmyv. Thought DCU was good venue. Great bars in area, smaller venue, sound is good. Think you were with wrong folks as we tore it up both nights back in 13

Wasn't the people it was the venue. Couldn't handle the crowds. Never waited so long in a concession line. Actually missed the beginning of Pendulum on night 2.

  • I would take the Garden over Great Woods or DCU any day of the week..... Just my opinion.

I was VERY impressed w/ how well Foo sounded at Fenway this summer. I figure PJ will play there @ some point, but whatever..... As long as they play in MA, I'll be there.

I thought they wouldn't be back at greatwoods after 03'. But the two nights in 08' were amazing. I think the recent October tour schedule keeps them away from greatwoods.

I'm not sure what prevents decent sound at the garden, but generally I find it bad.

It's interesting that I like dcu because of the sound and size, yet I want a Fenway show badly.

What's this 'recent October schedule' you speak of?
  • I much prefer the garden shows from a sound and views perspective but I do think seeing them at Fenway one time would be cool. That being said, I'm already getting anxiety about even thinking about what the merch situation could look like for a potential show at Fenway. Yikes.

They have done a few fall tours. They used to do summer tours. Just making a generalization.

Gotcha...... I thought you were referencing a schedule for next fall..... Thanks for clarifying.

Re: the Garden, I guess I'm in the minority, but I thought the sound was great in 2010.

Bottom line, I would take any venue in MA over Great Woods...... I hope I never have to deal that parking lot again in my life.

Agreed on Great Woods. It is more of a hassle than anything else. I prefer Fenway for the novelty and potential epicness this year but the Garden most other years.

TD Garden sound sucks. And Great Woods is just a fucking hassle.

The thing I love about greatwoods is the tailgating. You don't get that at the garden, or Fenway. From 98'-2003 there was a great run of showing up four hours early and partying on the cheap.

But I agree, it's about the worst venue to get out of.

Although Fenway might not have the best acoustics, I would love the experience. I have seen the band enough times at the other local spots that a change of pace at Fenway sounds fun.

Haha yeah I could only imagine the line. I passed on the Wrigley merch lines but being a Boston sports fan the line could not be long enough for me to miss out. The finish line would be amazing!
