Just so we're clear, I won't wait for an answer. Based on you're posts here you struggle with reading and writing so I don't actually believe you've read the charter.Post edited by dignin on0 -

People will interpret and twist the charter to fit their own narrative and blissfully ignore that which does not fit their narrative…. Kinda like the bible…
people also mistakenly believe we have the same rules of law as the United States….
this world is going crazy where the minority feel their feelings trump the majority. The PPC would be in legitimate power if that was the way the people felt
continue holding your breath and stomping your feet and trying to get your way… and good luck getting the US to change their rules

Has it ever occurred to anyone that the cops are tired of enforcing health orders… The only reason they got the ambassador bridge cleared is it was just a bunch of citizens with no connection to Ottawa…and they kept that bridge offline for 6 days costing the economy billions…similarly to the billions mr blackface and butterball has cost us with lockdowns based on fear..Give Peas A Chance…0

And it’s not a coup..it’s protesting in which Brian Peckford defends…I’ll listen to him over people who are fearful…Give Peas A Chance…0

gee a communist flag. Can you imagine that after two years of government overreach you want more lockdowns…some people are just dumb.
No one wants lockdowns. The thing that the PPC party, and far right conservatives, and their supporters are deaf to is that had our 'leaders' listened to epidemiologists from the jump, we'd all be in a much healthier less divisive position than the one we find ourselves in now.
Democracies are better than other alternatives. However, when we pick municipal, provincial, and federal leaders like they're "home coming kings and queens than we shouldn't be shocked when these people aren't very smart, lack empathy, and don't really know what it means to work in the best interests of the public good. Heck, a number of them don't know what it means to hold what many of us would consider to be a real job. Please see the attached video about good ol' Pierre. This guy thought years ago it was time that First Nations Peope should start learning the meaning of hard work! Are there good politicians around? - yes, but they seem to be the exception and not the norm nowadays.
Ultimately, big business trumps public health in the twenty-first century and that's disappointing. For the hundreds of thousands of people that have had lost their jobs during the pandemic our governments should be supporting these people.
It's also hard to see the connection between these white (mostly male), middle aged "free-dumb" protestors' claims of oppression and tyranny in Canada as they roll around in their $50,000 pickup trucks, and can afford to take weeks off from work. I'd identify myself as white, and middle aged, and it's a clear historical privilege to learn about institutional racism in this country instead of experiencing it.
These "free-dum" protestors should have setup their nonsense on the huge parliamentary hill, but instead they've chosen to negatively impact the lives of working class people in some cases for weeks.
Have a healthy week everyonehttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gnmgL5CZqfs

Remember: Those who wave the Canadian flag do not get to define it for everyone else
As the protests and blockades have shown, a country’s flag has more than one meaning. Ian Brown explores the changing symbolism of the maple leaf

How about we not give credence to these protestors' incessant use of the term "lockdown"? No one in Canada is locked down, and no one has been. It's inflammatory language that makes the situation seem worse than it actually is.my small self... like a book amongst the many on a shelf0

In Victoria we are only getting convoy protestors on Saturdays, thank FSM.
The first Saturday it was estimated there were about 5,000 protestors. Last weekend the estimate was about 1,500, and yesterday it was estimated to be "hundreds". Seems like fewer and fewer people are interested in continuing the protest.
