Trudeau did not legalize Cannabis. He tried to create another tax revenue for the government and has failed miserably at that. It's still prohibition 2.0. Why do you think people continue to get medical scripts for Medicinal Cannabis?
The black market continues to thrive and will continue to thrive in the near future, maybe forever.

Trudeau and the federal Liberals legalized cannabis. Doesn’t matter one bit if you don’t like how they did it, it’s folly for you to deny that they did.
There’s a black marker for cigarettes - does that mean they’re illegal? There’s a black market for alcohol - same for that, too, I guess.

I'm going to assume you know Scheer would be giving big breaks to his friends.
I think you need to vote Green or some other independent party dude, if you want to stand behind your criticisms of the current government. Voting Conservative is going to make you a big hypocrite.

He is less popular than Trump. He is also accused of obstruction of justice and shutting down committees...
And like Trump both were given everything, seeing as Trudeau is trust fund baby...
The better looking less offensive liberal Big Don of the North?
He may be better looking but has said some pretty offensive shit...
Do tell?
Just a few weeks back he said low income Canadians do not pay taxes...yes they do.
In Edmonton at a town hall meeting a few years back, he look at soldier (who lost his leg in service) and said “you are asking more than we give)...this from a clown who pledged 50 million via a tweet to Trevor Noah’s charity.
There is a 1st nation reserve, Grassy Narrows, that has had there water supply contaminated by mercury in the 60’s and no government has fixed the problem...so last week at a 1500/person fundraiser for the liberal party, a grassy narrows resident bought a ticket for the fundraiser to protest, and as she was being escorted out by security, he arrogantly thanked her for her donation to the liberal party of Canada.
Those are my top 3 insults to Canadians from our trust fund spoiled pm...
plus he gets 2 taxpayer paid nannies...the dude is a fucking millionaire.
at least our previous pm was not insulting us weekly, did not ask us to fund his nannies and not taking tax payer funded vacations monthly...
he also may be the 1st pm since the 30’s to be ousted after 1 term.
and today he said politicians shouldn’t lie to Canadians...that’s all that d]fool does is lie...
The previous pm was selling out Canada. He desperately needed to go and that was evident in the election results.
He was a shmuck. Trudeau sucks, but he’s legalized marijuana and that was huge.
He also got doctor assisted suicide legalized, which is even huger.
He also saved the lives of tens of thousands of Syrians, which I'm very glad about.

Who the fuck is paying 10/g...fuck grow your own or find a black market dealer...jeesh.
In Vancouver $10/g is completely standard in illegal dispensaries.
So I want to know just how fucking cheap you have to be to get upset about paying only $10/g. In the 90s a gram cost $15, and 1/8 was always $45. ALWAYS. Weed is way cheaper now than it used to be where I'm from!
Anyway, do you have a point with your whining about legalization? I mean, it's not going to be reversed. What is it you want, exactly? Whatever it is, it's Ford you should be bitching about.

I pay $3.99/gram, 20-25% THC depending when I buy. I have never paid more than 7/gram. Of course, they need to charge 10/g in BC if they are operating bricks and mortar store...unless the owner is shacked up in the back of the store for his living accommodations.
But that's also the beauty of the medicinal cannabis community, a lot of medicinal suppliers of cannabis offer a great product at a reduced priced for low-income earners. Or should low-income earners be denied there medicine because of the price? There was a Cannabis lounge that gave away free Cannabis for donations of your choice...but it was shut down under Trudeau's Cannabis laws...The only crime he was committing was giving away a product that is overpriced and overtaxed by the government...and he was helping local charities.

I think I've said this before: I think you should try and employ a little patience on this subject. The industry still has a lot of change to go through. Something like this inevitably takes time to work itself out, for laws to adjust (by province remember) to correct mistakes, etc etc. My god, when it first legalized in Washington, 1/8 was going for up to $80! The market worked itself out - it's now affordable. Meanwhile, you do indeed have access to the illegal market if you so choose. I'm not sure why you're so bent out of shape about it TBH, since you're the first one to point out that anyone can just turn to an easily accessibly black market still.

“The mayor of Vancouver says he… wants a carbon-free Vancouver by 2040,” said Kenney “If he blocks our oil, we can give him a carbon-free Vancouver by 2020.”

LOL. Who says Canadian politics are boring...
Idiot.
For the record, BC has always paid a ton for gas. The existing pipeline has offered us nothing provinces completely detached from the pipeline process share in except for a few spots where it puked on our soil.
Say nothing of the carbon or coastal concerns... there has been no advantage for BC residents that make twinning the pipeline an attractive thing to do. Short term jobs are just that. Long term jobs would be minimal at best and potentially outnumber the jobs lost at the coast. And... there's risk: the last oil spill was much bigger than they originally expressed (yup... they lied... shocker, eh?).
Alberta doesn't have a coast. If it wants access to one... it should play nicely with provinces that do- not threaten and try to bully them- it just fortifies the resistance. $2 per liter? Oh well. Just drive less I guess. Gas should cost more than bottled water.

I do not think a pipeline needs to be run west, but energy east always made the most sense...but thanks to some Saudi lobbying we will continue to buy oil from a horrible country...one of the worst countries in the world, we have plenty of oil to stop buying from them, but a French PM will screw every province over including BC to keep them happy in Quebec. And if Notley is right, the shovels go into the ground in the summer...so the pipeline is being built.
Either way, it matters little to me about trans mountain. We need to STOP buying Saudi oil.

I don't know what we did to deserve him in Alberta, that slimeball is such an embarrassment.
I'm proud Notley is my premier, but unfortunately not for long.
He is terrible! I don't like Notley either, maybe for obvious reasons if you can empathize with how she comes off to British Colombians. But she's a hell of a lot better than that psycho Kenney. I can't believe he might win. It's making me very nervous... and causing me to wonder about a whole lot of Albertans, sorry (not you!).

It's not really close unfortunately. The NDP is consistently about 10 points behind in the polls. We got lucky with the split PC/Wildrose vote last election but now it's only progressive parties splitting the vote the other way this time around.
Calgary is going to decide this election.
It's gonna take a miracle for the NDP to pull off the upset this time, and Alberta will go back to it's eggs all in the dying oil industry basket. Were pretty much fucked.

Outrageous. That's fucked. I'm so sorry. I'd be absolutely horrified if I were you. I am, and don't even live there... Although the threats to immediately shut off the gas to BC if he wins are disturbing... though I don't think he could get away with it if he tried.

Why can't he get away with it? BC has made it clear that the coastline is THEIRS. So I guess any oil and gas in the ground belongs to Albertans, and if he wins (likely with a strong mandate from the people)...and that is part of his platform...I see no reason he cannot turn off the taps. Why should you care if he turns off the tap? Buy your oil and gas from the US. Or are you telling us that too much of your oil and gas come from Alberta? Then I guess you shouldn't have left so much of your Oil and Gas needs in the hands of a province you clearly dislike...
And if gas spikes above $2/litre BC should be happy...you are opposed to carbon use...that's one to get people to drive/make better choices.
So you should rejoice at the concept of $2/l gas ...
But BC is not, they sued to stop a pipeline, then they sued to keep Alberta oil flowing... kind of sending a mixed message of what you want.

Mostly because the courts have held that a province can't unilaterally decide to restrict such trade to one province and not another in a punitive manner.
But I am fine with gas being expensive. It should be.

He couldn't get away with it because of the courts.
But also, the issue is being used by both of these yahoos as pure propaganda. And it seems to be working, even on Meltdown, who doesn't even live in Alberta, lol. Based on your little knee jerk reaction in your last post dude, you're a bit of a fiddle in this case... but one that nobody cares about in the context of this issue.

What's the problem? You in BC should be HAPPY...no oil coming into your province will help you become carbon-free...is that not what you want?

this. the lack of anxiety alone is worth the price. and honestly, I guess the prices of street weed in winnipeg are not in line with the rest of the country. I'm honestly not paying much more legally than I did illegally.
