    Another article is up about a Chicago father being charged with child endangerment - his 6 year old son shot and killed his 3 year old brother while playing cops and robbers. The father is an ex gang member, bought the gun illegally for protection. Wrapped the gun in a pair of pajama pants and put it on top the refrigerator.

    By the way, did you know that worldwide there are about 700 arms manufacturers? Seems like there's a strong worldwide interest in death and killing.

    they took his car, phone and wallet. Thank God he didn't have his 5 year old son that morning- he usually takes him to school but was with his mom that day.
    12/23 was also his wife's birthday and her present was in the car as well as his son's hockey equipment- too bad he has Geico, they only reimburse $200. He also doesn't have gap insurance so he'll likely still owe a couple stacks toward the car note.

    He's shaken; panic attacks..taking Xanax now...wants to get a gun now..sad.

    He lives in a decent part of the city- near North Park College. 7am, sitting in front of his garage, about to pull out to drive to work when suddenly a car blocks him. the hooligan jumps out and makes him get out of the car, and lay down on the ground..

    A friend of mine in Saginaw, MI nearly got car jacked. He was in his Jeep with his fiance and their then baby.

    While stopped at a traffic light, two armed men ran to each side of the vehicle screaming for my friend to get out and lay on the ground. They were trying to open the doors when my friend pulled his CCW pistol and fired three rounds through the plastic window. All three rounds hit the would be carjacker in the chest. He died in the street while his accomplice ran away.

    They called 911 and when the police, ambulance and fire truck arrived, my friend told them what had happened. The police officer spoke to witnesses and they let my friend leave.

    I'm glad that your friend wasn't hurt.

    Can't speak for the US (I've heard this is apparently becoming the case, but I think it's pretty silly), but in Canada that isn't the case at all. If anything, "thug" will make most people think of a some suburbian white mook with a gold chain.

    i hear THUG used all the time on people of all races. So i dont buy into that nonsense. People will find anything offensive if they look hard enough. The last example of it i saw was a local newspaper headline here describing three white teens who were randomly assaulting people. Tupac making the word into something cool ended up making people cry racism.
