Speculation of Fenway (as usual)...
rumors of a Western USA tour later in 2016...
rumors of a PJ25 event in the northwest...
Montreal May 11th!!! That will be our 25th wedding anniversary!! That would be soooo sweet!!
NHL playoffs in full swing, every city listed has an NHL team. BOGUS.
what about the 2010 tour ? quite a few of nhl cities during playoff times. arenas dont keep 2 months open on the off chance their team makes it to the playoffs. it definitely comes into consideration however it doesnt mean they cant have an event during a playoff period..
May 1, 2010[C] New Orleans United States Fair Grounds Race Course May 3, 2010 Kansas City Sprint Center May 4, 2010 St. Louis Scottrade Center May 6, 2010 Columbus Nationwide Arena May 7, 2010 Noblesville Verizon Wireless Music Center May 9, 2010 Cleveland Quicken Loans Arena May 10, 2010 Buffalo HSBC Arena May 13, 2010 Bristow Jiffy Lube Live May 15, 2010 Hartford XL Center May 17, 2010 Boston TD Garden May 18, 2010 Newark Prudential Center May 20, 2010 New York City Madison Square Garden
what about the 2010 tour? You cant just throw dates for a tour out there without knowing the NHL playoff schedule. Period. Im not saying they cant tour during the NHL playoffs, i am simply saying, what my original post was about, BOGUS to THIS schedule.
So are you saying that hockey and basketball arenas don't take firm bookings for the months of April - June on more than a month or two notice? You seem 100% certain so I'm just wondering. Hypothetically if this tour does turn out to be true, how would that have been the case?

While the list may be bogus, not every city listed has an NHL team. And certain cities probably are not going to have to worry about the playoffs. Toronto, Carolina, Philly, etc
Arenas can and do book concerts during the playoff window. Arenas with two or more pro teams can do it less, but still can do it. Especially during the first two rounds where there is some flexibility in scheduling. You'll see weird things like back-to-back home games or extra days off between games to accommodate other arena events.
Any dates an arena books during those playoff windows has to be cleared with the league. While they can book some dates, they can't book a lot of them, or book 3-4 in a row. The league knows that the arenas are in the business of making money, and in many cases the teams themselves (or an affiliated management organization) are the ones managing the arena.
Past the first two rounds--the Conference finals and Championship--those exact dates are already known. They may not be announced publicly, but the broadcast partners of the NBA and NHL know when they are already, and those dates are blocked out. Booking another event there is either outright banned until a team is eliminated or written as contingent on the venue not being needed for the primary tenant.
The rumored list of dates that's been posted here seems promising, though somewhat conflicting with what Mike and Stone have said recently about touring and tour segment lengths. Maybe since this was a lighter year, next year will be 30+ dates to make up. Here's hoping...
Mumford & Sons playing Bridgestone in Nashville the night before the rumored PJ date. With the NHL playoffs starting that week, I'm a wee bit concerned that the venue would book two concerts on B2B nights. Might make for an early night if PJ plays on Sat night and there's a Preds afternoon game on Sunday.
I think the WED presale will be will-call tickets, at least the band presale has been will call in the past sometimes, but great tickets. And looks like arenas have GA FLOOR for the entire floor.
This is getting so crazy I had to change my thumbnail

If the tour dates for the US and Europe will be announced at once, will they do seperate lotterys for both legs? I sure hope so... I'm planning on going to the US for my first shows there and the changes to win tickets in the lottery for both the US and Europe will be smaller if there will be one lottery for both legs. So... seperate lotterys then please!

They could play the new amphitheater on the river.........
