    Is it possible the bonnaroo date doesn't impact the tour date announcement?

    That is is the jazz fest one that we are awaiting? That seems to make sense given jazz fest is in the set of dates around april may with bonnaroo coming later?

    I've looked online some but can't find when Jazz Fest will be announced. Is it usually a certain date or day of the week. Apologies if this has already been covered on here.

    mid January last year so I would guess the same this year... I would say they release within a week at the latest

    I agree... I think the spring tour is still on, just waiting for jazzfest to see if that confirms it or not...

    I think bonnaroo is part of a 2nd leg... but that's pure speculation on my part

    since they were rumored to cancel the nashville show, i can see them adding a 2nd or 3rd night or another city in place of nashville and doing roo a month later as a summer one off

    I can't wait till these dates are released so we can figure out who was the most correct and who was the most incorrect in their projections/guesses!!! Everyone has been so sure of themselves it will be awesome to see

    Pretty much. That's been the trend in a lot of festival announcements in recent years--instead of just publishing the list to be read, there's a YouTube announcement that doles the bands out one at a time, or a flash animation that adds one band a minute, or a radio commercial package, or whatever. I guess they think they need a gimmick to be noticed among the million festivals.

    Another way to get noticed is not just book the same bands that are playing every other festival in US that same year. But that's just my thoughts.

    It wouldn't make sense to hold up announcing because of Roo. The spring dates end 1 month before than. Can easily announce some things and announce Roo later.

    the reason why they would/might wait for the roo announcement is cause there is a rumored nashville show.. if roo comes out first and, word on the wire is that the nashville show was canceled/switched then people will by roo passes thinking the nashville show is off or to play it safe anyway. thats why the roo show matters.. not only that, the last roo setlist was insane for a festival

    The reason they would wait is if the tour dates are built around Bonnaroo now, it will be in the contract the festival announces first, tour later. Same with Jazz fest, festival announces headliners first. Tour would then be announced afterwards.

    Jazz Fest Announced on the 14th last year. No good rumors around 1st 4/22 or 2nd 4/29 as to the weekend, only the fat the 1st lines up better with the original projections for the SE/NE spring tour. In 2013, came down through VA, then Charlotte, then into N.O. for Voodoo fest.
