water so salty no life on earth could survive with it ?...life always finds a way.
my guess is that if any life were to survive for a long period of time (even in that extremely salty water) the climate would have to change, from what I understand the surface of mars changes from extreme high heats to low's, but still...what a cool find !

    Godfather.

I read about these little guys called Halophiles in one of Craig Childs' book. Apparently they thrive on extremely saline environments. They're very cool:

all right buddy I read the link....now I need an attorney and a dictionary to understand all the 50 cent words spread out all over the article LOL ! but I was thinking of the brine shrimp in Mono lake, that place is crazy ! salt pillars and liquid salt and still life finds a way.

    Godfather.

I was thinking Brine Shrimp too! I have been to a few places where I saw them in the salted water. I stuck my hand in the water and instantly felt my hand and arm drying up. Really weird feeling!

Couldn't understand how something lived in that!
