    Read that this morning. Crazy.
.... I am still anxiously awaiting the news that they found fossils of some kind. Would be cool.... I guess man might need to be there for that kind of thing though. I wish they would hurry up with getting man on mars. I really want to see the real space/other planet explorations get on the road before I die.

Also wondering just how much water might be there...... enough for Mars to become an eventual water mine/desalinization plant?? You never know.... I mean, now that would be useless and impossible obviously. I'm more thinking 500 years in the future kind of thing. You know. When transporting shit through space is efficient, lol.

No way. I love smoking, lol (but be fair - I smoke very little compared to most smokers.... even my doctor doesn't seem particularly concerned with the amount).

    I keep picturing Total Recall.

Really though, it's very cool (1) that we even know this! and (2), the potential for other discoveries there.

water so salty no life on earth could survive with it ?...life always finds a way.
my guess is that if any life were to survive for a long period of time (even in that extremely salty water) the climate would have to change, from what I understand the surface of mars changes from extreme high heats to low's, but still...what a cool find !

I read about these little guys called Halophiles in one of Craig Childs' book. Apparently they thrive on extremely saline environments. They're very cool:
