You might receive a reminder tomorrow to keep your membership current so that it doesn't slip into arrears, which is where things can start to get messy.

Do you appreciate these types of reminders? Or do you like to live dangerously?

    Good point, Hobbes.

You know, clams are really only happy because they're in the current.

The same people that say 'Happy as a Pig In Shit'

Which is not to be tweaked to Happy as a (my) Hog in Shit....because that sounds like my hog swimming in the back current and we already covered this being happy to some and horrid to others.

How does this relate to crabs hiding on the current being good/bad? I don't know...I saw the chance to type about my hog playing in shit.

Stig Severinsen holds the record for underwater breath holding at 22 minutes. Granted, he isn't very active in the current - he describes it as a "meditative state" - so he may be a bit of a disappointment.

I like to keep come up for air with just the tip of my nose tilted out of the current's crest and then go back under. I sometimes do the alphabet to make sure that I stay on task and my mind doesn't wander. I find this helps the current.

Well F,everyone knows the currents south of the Mason Dixon line are strong indeed.

For a proper long dive in the current I like to flip the current. This creates maximum airflow, pinpoint target assessment and the current can move free. Its a win all the way around.Sometimes the current can also grab you back so be prepared

You're right. That picture was taken in Vermont. I spent my entire Labor Day weekend bush-hogging that field. The bush grows pretty thick up there and gets awfully tangled with goldenrod.

Also, the Mad River, true to its namesake, has some wicked currents.

And don't get me started on mud season.
What beach do you call home?
    Moving this over here:

Siesta will forever be the beach for me. Spent many a night getting lost in many a current on a lovely catamaran.

The beach that's at the end of my block is lovely to look at, but I wouldn't advise going into its filthy current.

It's a coastal town, though, and there are plenty of clean currents to explore that are a short bike ride away.

Other favorite beaches are Coney Island (freak current), Daytona (sloppy current), Rockaway (surf current) Cahoon Hollow (mellow current) and Sand (cool current).

Born and raised a cracker, but I now live amongst the wicked frigid and rocky currents on the north shore of Massachusetts.

About six months ago, I had to make a choice between two jobs: one back in my hometown of Sarasota and one back up in Boston.

Worst decision I've ever made, but it was for the right reason: my family.

Don't think I could deal with all the frigid currents in bawston.
