Sooooo, doesn't this make the MOST expensive version the LEAST rare, therefore the LEAST valuable??
Who knows, for all we know they might have only oversold them by 20 or so
Add a 3 in front of that 20 and you are getting warmer… 320 is still low. Ask around peoples order #'s and you can do the math… They are up there in numbers. Silver is the one to have.
Not to argue but, how does the order number have anything to do with it? Do the people who bought the regular and chrome not have an order number?
130 of $100 regular AP. 85 of the $200 chrome. Logic would say that the $250 gold should have been around 50-70 max. There has been over 20 on Ebay already. Those are just the tool "flippers" that immediately post them. Look anywhere or talk to anyone and they "got a gold". Something is just not right about this and the "handful available". Then oops we sell 500 of them? That's $125,000 worth of oops. First time we ever see the "anti flipper" stickers (which seem pointless and just authenticate something rare) and they sell ten times more of the assumed volume? Maybe it was a "stick it to the flippers" move and a bunch of true fans are screwed along the way. That'd be a real shame.

I think it was an honest mistake, new website process, gold showed up late and in some parts of the website but not others, response is not ideal, but I for one don't believe they oversold on purpose.
I think the best thing they could do would be to refund $100.00 to everyone that ended up with a gold print. At least I would be totally fine with that compromise

Don't hold your breath. I think a decent compromise would be to include a regular show edition with the gold's.
Why are those that bought gold for the posted price upset or believe they should do a refund of some part of the money?
You got what you wanted for the price you were willing to pay. I wish all the sales were this way. You would think it would keep flipping down. If not, then your art appreciated in value. So, again under what circumstances does Ames owe you anything other then the print you bought for the price you agreed to pay for it?
Sorry. The world doesn't work the way you tell it to.
to those very concerned about the value of they're gold variant there was one that sold for 400 already. I'm going to keep mine but just wanted to ease your worries about your investment:) no worries, these posters will hold value and it is going to be a good poster to have. We are pretty lucky we did not get refunded as people are paying around 200 for the regular show version unsigned. It's a very cool print with the band members each being one of the transformers. I have to say though stone really looks like stone:)
