All the posters sold thus far for the NYC/Global Citizen show have the "Say no to flippers" sticker on the back and they're selling for between $70 and $700 on the-site-that-shall-not-be named?

    If that flipping sticker actually achieved anything it could be a really good idea. I just don't understand the concept when no one is monitoring who gets what number. Not that anyone could possibly have the time to do that

    I have sources close to the band and they told me that the flipping sticker is programmed to detect when it is being flipped and self-destructs once payment has been received. So, you know...

    The biggest irony is...they could print posters to order, just like they did with Isle of Wight. Would kill the flippers right away!

    More so than a little sticker on the back anyway.

    Agreed. Which is why, if I ever get the chance to have something autographed by the band, I'll ask that they write "To John" of "For John" on the item so that they know I won't be selling it...ever.

    Yes and I think it's funny that the "reasoning" given was because of bootleg posters and they mentioned the Texas 2003 poster... I thought that was one of the only "known" widely bootlegged posters anyway... 12 years ago.... doesn't really seem like it's an issue. The only thing being bootlegged FROM the poster images are the bootleg shirts and stickers people have made recently... as far as I know anyway. Unless they put the sticker on the front of the poster in the middle of the artwork, that stuff is bound to continue.
