To be going off the rails on a crazy train and not to listen to a little Ozzy whilst biting bat heads

    Haha! Now we're havin' fun!

... to not at least once stand in the pouring rain, howl at the moon, catch fire flies in a jar and lie on your back watching stars shoot across the night sky.

not to put on your red shoes and dance the blues?

I dont understand this catching fireflies in a jar nonsense. It just seems mean. I did catch them as a kid - in my bare hands though. Or try to get them to land on you like butterflies.

Old? Well then I must be... ah but we're not old, RKCNDY, we're... now wait, just today I heard a guy 10 years younger than me refer to himself as "old".

Ahhhhh shucks, old it is.

Could not agree more. I lost my brother, my best friend, late last year.

We were so close, we said nasty things to eachother. He's knows I loved him, I know he loved me.

But now I am here regretting some horrible things I said to him. Even though apologies were made while he was still with us, doesn't matter now.

They were hurtful, vial words that I have to live with and regret with every fiber of my being.

Life's too short, be kind to one another.

I understand exactly where you are coming from, but don't beat yourself up about the nastiness that was before. Siblings do that stuff, it's kinda tough love in a family. I know he loved you and you him, death unfortunately makes us all replay too many past conversations, some not so nice....

  • Thanks for the kind words RK and Jogill, much appreciated.

I just want to emphasize, think before you speak. Dont let anger and pettiness make you say hurtful things to those you love, just because you know how to push their buttons.

As the thread title says, life is too short to be nasty. Its not healthy and it serves no purpose. This includes giving the clerk behind the counter shit because you're having a bad day.

    Just breathe and smile. :).
