If coffee tasted the way it smells, I'd be all about it. It's like the biggest lie ever! Now if one of you can get me a cup that tastes EXACTLY the way it smells, I will be a convert to coffee. For now, I'll take my tea.

You need to during good coffee...I can drink good coffee black. bad coffee needs cream and sugar.
The joy of life comes from our encounters with new experiences, and hence there is no greater joy than to have an endlessly changing horizon, for each day to have a new and different sun.

I'd be surprised if you liked black coffee. Usually people who don't like coffee go for stuff heavy with cream and sugar. See if they have the hazelnut flavor Bailey's creamer in your supermarket. If you're going supermarket coffee I like Buestelo. If you're buying from a roaster i like Costa Rican.

I drank coffee with cream and sugar for about the first 7 or 8 years when out of the blue a friend challenged me with this: She said, "Try drinking a good French Roast black for two weeks and I'll bet you'll never go back to anything else." I really didn't care for it much the first few days but two weeks did it. That was about 35 year ago and she was absolutely right. Black French Roast, mmm!

Some people (my wife included) don't even like the smell. Hard to imagine that! But yes, I like tea also. Murchies No. 10 blend (from Murchies Tea & Coffee) is incredible stuff!

Brian,
Are you telling me that Murchies No. 10 tastes the way it smells? If so, I'd be willing to purchase a coffee pot.

I must have not written that very well. No, Murchies No. 10 Blend is a fine tea. And it does taste as good as it smells. The rule around our house is never use the same pot for coffee and tea. I value my life thus follow that rule carefully,

Seems reasonable. Sorry. I didn't get that was tea. Right now we have something at work called Tea Forte. At $18.50 for 5 bags, it should be good. I have a bag of the green to try.
Now I have to add my distaste for BOTH tea and coffee! Drank tea till I was about 10 or 12 then realised I didn't like it. Rest of family all drink coffee and I don't really like the smell and definitely hate the taste. Won't even eat a dessert that's coffee flavoured! And I like ALL desserts. This makes winter tough for me to warm up. I drink hot chocolate but can only really do one a day.
So............life's too short to suffer drinking tea or coffee
late PJ bloomer- what was I doing in the 90's that I didn't know who Pearl Jam was???

I've grown to love some tea. I'm a chai kind of girl. I love green tea with lemon. I'm working into different types of tea.
For thread integrity:

What about hot cider? A hot toddy?
Nope, not into them either. Even if I doctor up the hot chocolate with some alcohol, schnapps etc, don't like that. I just stay with the one hot chocolate but add some coffee creamers/syrups with different flavours to mix it up a bit.

......for you all to try to find something hot for me to drink.
Do you have any spanish breakfast carts in your area? Around here they serve avena (it's like drink-able oatmeal) and arroz con leche (rice with milk, literally, but it's flavored with cinnamon and its really sweet. In most places it's served cold and thick as a desert, but the ladies by the train always have it hot and liquidy.

No we don't have anything like that, I guess not enough Spanish around.
Yeah, I agree about the warrantee. They always try to make it sound like a bargain but.....
