I think the Lightning Bolt era has ended. So judging by the few times they have played for TV without a record to promote, it will either be an unreleased song or a cover. My best guess, or hope, goes to "Of the Earth!" What could be more appropriate for a Global Event?! Although they would probably have to trim away the middle portion for time constraints.
god, I hope not. but it's my bet. the LB era hasn't ended. the SA tour for LB is right around the corner. and I don't think they'll play Ole on an American TV show to pander to the SA crowd.
totally fuck with everyone. play Happy When I'm Crying. or Last Soldier.

Please, they've played Of the Earth what...4-5 times in total? Zero chance that happens. Besides, it's too long of a song anyways for a 3-4 minute late night spot. It'll be a LB song no question. My money is on Sirens.
I don't think Getaway translates well live. It is killer on the album.
For sure. Not an easy song to sing. But they gotta do that one live more to get the hang of it! I guess if not Colbert (I don't actually think they'll go with Getaway), then Global Fest? Friendly suggestion!

I was thinking its EVOLUTION baby! But I think it would be awesome if something new or a cover. Can't see them playing anything from lightning bolt.

At a Pearl Jam show, hopefully. Posts: 653
I would like to hear a rocker. Hopefully new and one of their songs. I love Sirens but they already did that on Fallon. If they're still promoting LB. Then Getaway.
At first thought, Of The Earth, but I almost think it's too long or something. Maybe if they do it, they skip the jam part of the song to make it a little more tv friendly as far as time constraints.
I think they'll probably choose a song that promotes the band to a wider audience in some way, and that would take Of The Earth out of the running IMO. I can't see random people hearing that song and thinking "wow, I'm going to check out Pearl Jam's catalogue because that was awesome" (I must admit I don't understand the fascination from some fans about this song - it's an average PJ song at best.... but yeah, that's just me!). Of The Earth is a rarity that I think only die-hard fans are going to be interested in.

MYM and Sirens have been singles, no need to promote them again!
Lyrically I think Infallible fits really well to promote Global Citizen.
Or maybe they'll just play a hit. Even Flow or DTE!!
