And the MTA are magicians with money, meaning that they have a way of just making it disappear. You don't want to give them any more than you already do by buying a Metrocard or a ticket to the transit museum.

Yes, we most certainly are. What else are we supposed to do before the SA tour starts!? lol
    Haha good point.

Not nitpicking. Just stating a fact. Those subway lines are wrong. Sorry to rain on anyone's parade. It is what it is, and I still bought it, and I love the attempt, just a lost opportunity.
I know they're wrong. I was born in Manhattan, have worked multiple jobs in NYC, and go there often. It just didn't seem like a problem to me.

Derby Dave didn't get his hat. That made me sad for him. :frowning:

    Awww....poor Dave!
Bummer. I'm pretty sure that I was in line with Dave and his posse. I mean, who else would I talk to about tie dye.

The line was actually a pleasant experience.

If that was you, Dave, it was great chatting with you and your crew. And everyone else in my vicinity was good-natured and fun as well.

Which hat did Dave want? I saw the last Mets-themed hat get bought. And I think I got the last undamaged (at least by Volcom's definition; the corners aren't sharp and are pretty dinged up, but that'll frame out) Ames (the other two: one had a torn corner, and the other had tape on it). Hopefully, my son likes it!
Pretty sure Dave said he was wearing his 'i'm Analog' shirt that he tie-dyed.

    Really great guy.
That was him, then. And I knew that he was a really great guy from this forum, but now I know that it transcends the forum and that he's a gem in person as well.
Hung out with him a bit yesterday. Great guy. jlaustin too. Great people.
Not too bad yourself, Chris! It was great getting to spend some time with you!

dankind, were you the one with the book? sorry, we didn't make that connection in line! we needed our forum name tags!

    Likewise.

And apparently making awesome alterations to clothes is in your blood because that Black Flag My War repurposed T-shirt backpatch your man -- at least, I assume he was your man -- was sporting on his hoodie was killer stuff. And he said that his mother-in-law made it.

They usually put up event shirts & the event poster up for sale over at http://store.globalcitizen.org/ . Nothing yet for their '15 event.

Pretty shocked they have $98 dollar sweatpants. http://store.globalcitizen.org/collections/global-citizen-festival-2015/products/global-citizen-festival-mens-sweatpant-by-aviator-nation

I did not see them but I did contact them to see if they would wait for me. They said it would be $125 for 5 hours. I didn't go for it because I was to afraid of the wrath of all the fans behind them and I was worried the Volcom employees wouldn't let it fly either. Did someone else use them?
