I'm in line. About 15 people here already... Seven hours before showtime lol.
That is dedication. If I can finish up work I'll head over after lunch. I am going to rock the blue PJ hoodie with the light-bulb . I think I met you at an Eddie Vedder show a few years back (was there with my wife and contemplating going to PJ20...).
When we went to the Tonight Show a few years ago the people who got there earliest got put in the back lol (the band wasnt PJ but another cult band with rabid fans). Caused quite a bit of chaos. Saw someone try to fight a staffer.
We got there 90th in line and got front row. Is every host different?
I went to Letterman once and was easily a couple hundred people back in line. The floor seating was almost full when my friends and I got in and yet we got 3rd row almost dead center. Not sure what any show's system is.

It's a TV show, so they pick and choose who will be closest to stage depending on what they are looking for.
I've been there 4 times, two shows and two concerts. For the concerts, in one they sat me front row as we were the 10th on the line but for the other one i got pushed to half back even I got among the first ones (Depeche Mode, so I guess I was not wearing dark enough clothes, plus there were a lot of VIPs)
For the show tapings, they seem to put up front the most energetic people and show fans, along with VIPs.
Well, that was Letterman, lets see was Colbert is like.

I think it varies. Last time I was there, they filled each section starting with the far left, so people who came later ended up dead center in front compared to like, #1 in line. You just have to roll with it and enjoy the experience. Think of everyone who couldn't even get in the building!
super last minute and probably the odd yet serious request. ryan adams will be on daily show with trevor noah on october 1st. anybody interested in trading a colbert ticket for today's taping for a ticket to daily show on october 1st?
i have witnessed some performances. i have soaked up a lot of memories.
Haha, well fuck, I just has my current assignment end in the most unprofessional way I've ever experienced in my 15 year career, and on my birthday no less. I can confirm both of these facts. What a horrendous week I'm having so far...
For the love of God, is there anyone out there with a damn extra?
'I know I was born and I know that I'll die, the in between is mine.'
So everyone in line has tickets issued by the Late Show, right? And I imagine that they issue a few more tickets than seats in case people don't show. So, like, what are the chances that I won't get in?? I'm buggin!! I feel like it's Tower Records May '06 all over again!

Life Wasted was the one song played on the actual show if I remember correctly.

Saltzy, sorry to hear that. Best of luck on all fronts!
