their last show was quite some time ago. his voice had time to rest.Karts said:Has Ed stopped smoking? Or maybe vocal training? Something is up here, that voice was the old school weapon it once was.

I saw him with a cigarette when Obama was on vacation in Hawaii. That was only a few months ago in a rolling stone mag. Man I feel like a stalker...HughFreakingDillon said:

A funny side note - my waitress last night here in NYC noticed my pj shirt last night and asked about their 'new' album backpacker? She said she loved the song about 'counting on your hands.' It made my wife and I chuckle maybe it will you too.0

Ha! Very funny experience for you. Anyway, loved the Colbert interview! And seeing them live again made me even more upset that I will not be at GCF! I miss them! Max capacity was 483 on the board. I'd say 400 were PJ fans and the 83 were execs and such, lol.lotsalemon said:

His voice was a bit off, and rough, during Mind Your Manners. I thought it was better in RITFW. He seems to get better with some warm up time, like on Letterman, he sounded better as he progressed through Betterman.HughFreakingDillon said:

Late but I'll share my experience. My girl and I arrived around 11 or so and we were about 65 people deep I counted a couple times over the next hour or so. By the time we actually got our tickets and a # we were officially 93/94, funny how that works. Anyway after we got our tix we decided to look for a bar for a couple quick drinks before we had to return at 3:30. Just by chance not realizing we turned down the same street that the entrance/exit for the guests is on. We ran right into Mike Mc and were lucky enough to be amongst the last people to get a picture with him before he went in. I had never officially met any of them so it was pretty exciting. Mikes very friendly and after I got my pic and he was telling everyone he had to go I asked him for one last one with my girl who is a fan herself and he was so cool about it. It was completely random and had we turned down another street or if it was 5 mins later he would have been gone.
Once inside we were about 6 Rows back in the orch. The Show itself was great I'm also a Colbert fan. He was funny singing RITFW his hair was all messed up. It was a great experience and I'm very lucky it worked out the way it did and was able to get tickets. My "ticket holder" was in line at about 12:45 ( I got there about 1:40) and I was number 136. Sat 6th row also. The reason the line grew in numbers is b/c they tell you that guests can join later, they did not have to be in line the whole time. You must have been near my friend think her number was mid 60's too.fugawzi said:Late but I'll share my experience. It grew for that reason but it also grew just because people were straight up cutting the line.Sprunkn7 said:

PJ gave Colbert the "The Colbert Bump" ;-)
The guys nailed it!
That was the best TV performance since the old Letterman days. Ed and the band sounded great, the energy was pouring through the screen. Loved the interview, (role play is the trick).
MYM is the perfect song in the wake of Trump.
I'm sure Ed had a great time talking with Elizabeth Warren in the green room.

In the wake of Trump? What the hell would mym have to do with Trump? How about in the wake of this hypocritical, p.o.s. pope we have in town?ItIsAllAboutPJ said:
