  • Who the hell is Glen Campbell?

    Are you joking or serious?

    I was serious.
Just googled him and now I know.
Rhinestone Cowboy - A great song I have heard a lot everywhere just never researched who was singing it.
I am biased perhaps because I find the below guy (one whose sound I grew up with) a pioneer of the Campbell sound.
Glen Campbell seems to have been influenced by the best as seen below.

  • OK, I thought you were serious but didn't want to post a bunch of song links if you were joking, lol. My mom was a big fan and used to watch his show every week. A few years ago he covered the Foo's Times Like These and to my surprise I liked his version.

Campbell though is a singer and performer (and a good one), not a songwriter, but that was the norm when he started recording. I put Gordon Lightfoot in a different category, since he is such an exceptional songwriter.
