Meh. If they worked a twelve hour shift before taking their kids to the show and then were up at 6 the next morning to go back to work I would agree. But I'm not ready to pat a couple of millionaires on the back just for showing up at a concert with their kids. That's not what makes an awesome dad. I'm sure those guys are awesome dads, but going to a one dimension concert is the least of it.

Lol. I figured that was the best of the responses this post might get. I was more impressed with the caption that went with the picture:

"Rock and roll royalty at the show tonight in Seattle. Not every day you get to play in front of your heroes! Eddie Vedder and Matt Cameron, legends"

    That's cool.

How do they even look @ another camera and smile? Don't their faces hurt by now? Oh yeah rock royalty! I'd be happy too!
Oh please let it rain today.

I don't know about all of you, but my mom and dad never took me to a concert. I can say they exposed me to music early in my life and for that I am eternally grateful. I'm pretty sure if they had the means, they would have done just what Ed and Matt did. Difference being, it would have been a Donny Osmond concert. :).

Point being, if it means something to your children, doesn't matter what it is.

Yep which is why I was happily jammin to Taylor Swift while wearing my favorite PJ hoodie at Giants Stadium last weekend. I'm so happy that my daughter wanted to go together. Pretty sure I was ready to ditch my mom at her age.

    But yes, agreed!

My 17 year old niece is still into 1D big time, but she's also exploring some classics like The Who and The Doors. Slowly phasing out of boy bands, there's hope yet!!!

And Ed's kids are still little girls for heavens sake.

I've only seen Bruce Springsteen concerts with my mom, we've gone to Toby Keith and countless other country with some family. My dad has never taken me to a concert, but almost did many years ago. I had a chance to see the grateful dead, but my mom said no cause of the atmosphere, that concert was the last msg concert ever with Jerry.

While I don't like 1D and their music, I think it's cool Matt and Ed are taking their kids to concerts. Least it's wasn't a (c)rap concert
Ron: I just don't feel like going out tonight
    Sammi: Wanna just break up?

The only thing I hate about this photo is that godawful white hat Ed is wearing. Someone needs to tell him it is not cool.

Poor dads. Rich dads. Hours worked. Doesn't matter.

A good parent does goofy stuff to make their kids happy. Plain and simple. Theyre involved. A lot of fathers are not. My dad stood in the pouring rain at 5am with me to get PJ tickets in the mid 90s. He's not a PJ fan just like Ed and Matt arent 1 direction fans.
