There's a lot of debate about the interpretation of this item. This is how it's written

IMAGE. Create a short "Supernatural"-related horror story out of the abbreviations of the elements of the Periodic Table. You may only use each letter from each abbreviation once (so you'd have roughly - 225 letters to use). The more coherent the story, the better.

I think you have to keep the abbreviations together but can use them in any order you like, as long as you only use them once. The way it's phrased is very confusing though

It's not even worth that many points so I'm not sure I should bother spending hours figuring it out

I also need a couple of three-star generals for this item

IMAGE or VIDEO. Get two uniformed, legitimate 3-star generals (or higher and retired is acceptable) to engage in a competitive, heated game of tick-tack-toe

I probably should have explained that I've since established that you don't have to keep the abbreviations together :) You can use each letter in each abbreviation once

    Great effort though!

I was wondering this myself. For an international program, there is an awful lot of focus on New York. I hope there are a bunch of other challenges we haven't heard about yet that include other areas.

True. I must have missed that. Still US, though, along with the 3 different Times Square challenges.

I think, and I have no idea on this but I think it's just that there are a buttload of "challenges" and you can choose which ones to do. so there's probably a few NY options cuz its a pretty densely populated place.

(its also better than everywhere else) :bee: - disclaimer: its an obligatory snark. I dont even really believe that. But. I think its in the rules somewhere that i have to say things like that.

Those NY ones have an option to do them in any country outside the US as well. So we have people doing today and tomorrow's meetup items in Iceland and Canada. We're just a bit stuck for Thurs and Friday as we're not sure any of us will be available. You're allowed use proxies in certain cases, particularly location-specific ones

    HELP!

VIDEO. Design and operate electric or gas-powered "knee and elbow scooters." When you wear them, they must glide you down the street on your knees and elbows only. The device must be at least four separate pieces - not one or two platforms that you're lying on. You must wear a helmet or your item won't be accepted.

Oh man, I would love to do this if I have a gas powered back pack leaf blower, some roller skates, and some duct tape! Unfortunately I only have duct tape..

    New puzzle for ye

(Video may be up to 20 seconds) Design and build a voice recognition device or robot stationed next to a toilet that flushes it when prompted by the voice command, "Crowley." We must see you speak for 10 seconds prior to saying "Crowley" (you can say whatever you wish for this 10 seconds) but only see the flushing when "Crowley" is uttered. We must see the speaker's face, the flushing mechanism and the toilet bowl in the video framing the entire time
  • jnimhaoileoinjnimhaoileoin Posts: 2,682
And there's this one, also on the toilet theme haha

IMAGE. Design a better astronaut toilet. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Space_toilet. We will submit the best designs to our inside man at NASA. They may use it, or flush it down the current space toilet, but maybe you'll end up making a future astronaut REALLY happy.

Hahaha This one would be cool, and I could do it if I had more time, but 2 days isn't long enough. :(

AH this one is possible, but the toilet seems like a pretty solid design.
