In case you hadn't noticed by the gigs I've been to, I don't live in the US so won't be going anyway.

I respect the ethical values of Global Citizen, but the variety in the crowd will be 'interesting'.

The variety of the crowd will be interesting? What does that even mean? Isn't the whole purpose of this to draw people in with different backgrounds/cultures?
    Please don t go.
He could be reffering to the fact that each artist is kinda different and that will attract a very wide audience. Kids, teens, families, college kids, and us PJers (which span all generations).
    Exactly.

I wouldn't expect there to be much of a crossover between Beyoncé and Pearl Jam fans.

I would hope not too. Her music is banal nonsense.

Ed Sheeran and Coldplay are about as bland as guitar music gets.

Hopefully PJ will turn some people on to better things.

Why do you care who they play alongside? Their music is going to be just as good regardless of who goes on before or after.

When I see PJ I like it to be in a crowd who are there for them.

I don't like it when there are people who aren't interested standing around chatting etc.

A proper PJ crowd is the best there is.

Best case they go on last and guess who will be left? All PJ fans.

And unfortunately even if it's a PJ show there are still idiots who sit down the whole time or stand around chatting.

And there are the occasional idiots at PJ gigs too, unfortunately, you're right.

Two guys were talking very loudly at Leeds last year and I had to tell them to shut up.

    It's fucking inconsiderate.

My husband and I got 2 VIP 3 tix. Can't wait. We saw them last in Trieste and that is far too long ago. Our fingers are crossed for a Canadaian tour next!

I think I read somewhere that no tickets will be available until the beginning of September.

True. Not until a couple days before the show. I'd assume to discourage a secondary market from forming...

That's what the GCF website said. It was also said any of the free tickets that were sold potentially could be void and that all secondary market sites agree to not sell the freebies. The VIP could be resold.

I think it is fairly safe to assume PJ is the headlining act, however I can't really follow the critisism of the other acts. Knowing PJ and all they ever stood for, Beyoncé is more than welcome to me at a charity event like this, with her huge work for womens right around the world. The point is not a PJ show, the point is the Global Citizen and awarenes about their work; badmouthing other guests for their musical prefrences is counterproductive at best.

Well said! It's all about the good times and raising awareness of important human rights issues.

The free tickets can be transferred for free (so I've read) on Ticketbastard's website. But any (again, free, not VIP) tickets that are sold, if GC finds out about it, they will void the tickets.

That being said, if anyone has an extra GA ticket they can't use, I'm totally looking for one. My stepdaughter wants to come with my husband and I to the show. :)

Looks like SH changed its mind on that.
