TV Land is dropping The Dukes of Hazzard ... This is going to far. Them good ol boys. They weren't meaning no harm.
I thought they were dropping the series because Sherriff Peekoltrain and Deputy Cletus too accurately depicted the Republican voting base.
Careful 30,I tend to vote that side of the isle, and I in no way resemble cooter,Boss Hog,the sheriff or Cletus, lol. Now if you are talking about them accurately representing dumb rednecks, you are spot on.
hahahahahahah!
I knew I'd ruffle a feather!
Cooter. That was the name. I got to find me a friend named Cooter. Life would be awesome then.

Unfortunately for folks like you, the dumb rednecks are fast becoming the majority of the Republican party, thanks to Fox News.

I saw Waylen Jenning in concert play the Duke's theme song (he was opening for Soundgarden and Metallica).
Envious! And ol' Waylon is an odd opener for those two but oh man do I love me some Jennings.
It was Lollapalooza many moons ago ... they had a mystery opener ... it could have been Rage Against the Machine, but ended up being Waylen. Pretty much the same band, Waylen and RATM.
Can't complain. The Screaming Trees and the Ramones (on their 72nd farewell tour) played as well.
Obama is fueling the fire but West, Carson and Cain are doing their race just fine and there's no issue with Paul supporting Cliven Bundy.
What did I tell you about visiting the set of Breaking Bad, GF?
How is Obama fueling the fire?
He's not fueling the fire. If anything, he has simply managed to help EXPOSE the real problem, simply by being a black president and by not trying to pretend there is no problem, which is a good thing. Siginificant social change always comes with upheaval. GF, sounds like you just want to keep burying your head in the sand instead of seeing real change happen.

If anything... he gave your country a figurehead that can count past his finger total, know how to hold a book right side up, and not stammer like a drunken fool that's been sniffing glue.

Ok lol, that was funny.

all that ? I rest my case, the man has blundered horribly.

respectfully, what real change has he brought ?
Godfather.
The change is currently underway. It's a very long process (150+ years and counting in terms of race equality). When you are watching the race riots and the trials and the anger of black people and the controversy about the Confederate flag, etc etc, on the news, you are watching the process of social change. This is not all created by Obama and I never suggested that. But Obama hasn't been afraid to speak publicly about the issues and expresses a real opinion about it rather than trying to pretend there isn't a problem, which other recent presidents have really not done, which is a part of the process of change.
You're not asking what change outside of this topic he's brought, are you? Because if you don't think Obama has presided over a lot of change you're in denial (as most Republicans seem to be). In terms of war, the economy, and healthcare he has brought a LOT of change (btw, I don't blindly love Obama (I'm not even American!). I have a particular problem with how he handled the whole NSA thing and the continued support of Israel. But I'm always happy to give credit where credit is due).

Agree it's a social change and it will be painful.
Obama just raised our issues. Great thing for country and minorities. He's done some good. Period.
