I wish they would do a cd or blu ray ... but there were no professional cameras or recording at the Metro Chicago except for fans phones/camera ....

    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Maybe there will be a kick ass blu ray for charity or something.

Ed did mention that Jack White might hear the tape, so maybe it'll be released for charity.

I was really looking forward to checking out some of the videos this morning. I didn't have time to watch them until now. I should have known they'd disappear. Really wanted to see/hear comfortably numb especially. Hmph

Ed solo stuff is usually a no no. I'm guessing this falls under that? Not sure.

That's my guess. Wasn't a concern during the other 3-4 acts that went up before him. Security (nicely) asked me to stop taking pics a few songs into his set.

Was your flash on? Seemed like they were only going after people whose flash or camera light was on.

Anyone know the name of the tall guy that sang vocals for one song with the 2nd group of all-stars earlier in the evening? Steve something? He was introduced as having a great vocal range and he absolutely nailed the song (which I wasn't familiar with, but obviously a cover). Would love to know what other groups he's involved with and check out his other projects, but can't find any info.

No flash, no video, but I was right up front and could've been mistaken for someone who was. I didn't really care and was glad to have gotten at least a few great shots.

It looked like a really fucking cool event!

  • It would be great if they can make an audio and/or video release of the show. More $ for the charity and happier fans.

Matt Spiegel has written a fantastic article about the show. He has such nice things to say about Eddie. Really a great read http://chicago.cbslocal.com/2015/07/12/spiegel-backstage-at-hot-stove-cool-music/

That must have been a backstage/VIP area. Never saw those. Snagged a few of the small version with Eddies name on them. Doesn't look like its on those.

Very cool. I bet Eddie hated the Eddie chant while surrouding him in the circle. :) That was cool of them though.

Not sure he hated it it -- he was smiling ear to ear after that ...

Thanks for the info. Kinda surprised they haven't already sold one signed by everyone to raise funds for charity. They would bring in alot of mula.

    .

Getting back to the audio & video from the show. If you search on YouTube there are many videos up from the event. There used to be ALOT prior but those have already been taken down by Pearl Jam & Ten Club. Kinda confusing why that is if these following YouTube clips that are still active and not shut down .. but the older ones were taken down. :/
  • Who all sang on the weight? Bayliss too?

That looks like it's just a wide-format inkjet print, they had a few of those in the store area as well at the venue. Nothing professional, just something to help decorate the venue.

Still trying to track down a poster, and it's a lot more difficult than I thought it'd be.

Also, the poster artist's portfolio has an alt design at the bottom of this page: https://kylerdemers.carbonmade.com/projects/5585748

I'd love to see if there are any prints of that as well.

Was this poster available for purchase @ the event?

Don't know, but I'd buy it in a heartbeat. Guessing it wasn't used (overshadows the event by featuring just Theo and Eddie).
