  • I've thought about this a ton. I spoke rather softly in my first response, but the images I have seen and what I have come to understand about this event have placed me in the position where I feel many (if not most) participants in this gruesome gorefest are subhuman. The level of depravity on display is loathsome and quite frankly, criminal.

I'm okay with people eating dogs, but I'm just not okay with tying them to a tree and beating them with sticks in front of big cheering crowds. I'm not okay with boiling them alive. And I'm not okay with taking a blowtorch and cooking them alive. These things make me angry and want to punch people in the face... or grab them by the neck, lead them to a tree, tie them to it, and beat them with their sticks for a little while (I don't have the stomach for boiling cauldrons of water or blowtorches).

    * For the record, the farms that cruelly abuse the animals we eat evoke a very similar response within me. My household isn't perfect, but we spend additional money to buy our meats fresh from the butcher we trust, as well as buy eggs from a colleague that has free range chickens. There are periodic lapses where we compromise our values based on time and place though making me, ultimately, a hypocrite to some degree.

Agreed on all counts. I have been haunted by this the last few days. The cruelty these animals have been made to suffer is medieval.

I agree with this 100%. And a drone strike would be good too.

I hear you, man. Jimmy... I'm hearing you too.

It's cruelty- plain and simple. Go ahead and eat the dogs if that is your chosen protein, but for fuks sakes... don't torture the animals with smiles on your faces and eyes gleaming prior to killing them.

I'm not much of a pet person (but my dog loves me) but I would never hurt a dog...cat.. what ever so there is no way I'm watching that stuff, thanks for the warning. while I like a big fat steak, hamburger
pork, deer meat etc there is just some things I can't do and to torture any animal is just evil to me.
