Anyone listen to Higher Truth yet? It's decent so far (I'm only a few songs in) but I wish it was little more acoustic. IE just Chris and an acoustic guitar. I remember wishing Euphoria Morning would be acoustic like seasons/sunshower. Then it wasn't. Then the songbook tour/album came out and this new one was going to be acoustic. It sort of is, but there's layered vocals, loud percussion etc... I guess he didn't want to go that acoustic. It's too bad... he's awesome when it's just him and a guitar.
Looking forward to seeing CC at the Ryman in Nashville. Saw him in Nashville at the War Memorial Auditorium some years back on his last solo tour and he was great.

Last night at Disney he played River of Deceit and Hungerstrike. Great show, but really heavy on the melancholy songs. Plus CD just came out and nobody had heard new songs. The acoustics were great, and When I'm Down was just amazing in there.

Man, I did not believe the setlist on setlist.fm when I saw it. River of Deceit! Really hope I get to hear that in Seattle or Chicago.

Believe it. I think the person who posted it was pretty accurate.
Good show and loved the acoustics of the Disney Concert Hall. First time I had ever been there. Sounded really great and I loved the accompaniment of the cello on a good number of the songs.

I would LOVE to hear Chris doing River of Deceit! I love that he does covers to honor his friends.
Sunday night Chris began around 7:50 and ended little after 10.

Has anyone done the VIP experience? I won the Higher Truth VIP sweepstakes for the MSP show.
From the album pre-order? Yes. My brother won for the San Pedro show last Monday. It was really brief. Basically just meet really quick, they take a picture which they email afterward, and you can get one item signed. Still pretty cool to meet Chris. The seats were great. Ours were about 5th or 6th row.
It's ok. I've been hoping we'd get a raw solo acoustic album similar to Seasons or Sunshower. I liked euphoria morning, but it felt off with all the wierd effects or techniques his backing band uses. I felt the same way on this new one. Alot of the production, and percusion and layered vocals kind of took away from the rawness. I had read it was going to be acoustic like the recent tours, but it didn't really catch the vibe of the songbook tours. A decent album, but still not the one i'm looking for. Chris and nothing but an acoustic guitar and no effects would be awesome.
I've got front row tickets for Vancouver on Wednesday. First time I've ever had front row for any concert. I'm stoked!
edit: I should note that there's two songs almost towards the middle of the album that are all acoustic and I really like them.
anyone know if he is selling the new record (vinyl) at the shows?

What an awesome show at Benaroya Hall tonight. You could tell he was really excited to play at home - and at Benaroya, regardless of the fact he mentioned it multiple times. Played a couple of new songs and a couple off Euphoria Mourning and a VERY cool version of "Fell On Black Days" - with a cellist! He joked that there might be 3 other guys that could play that in the room and the entire crowd leapt to their feet as he pointed out Matt, Kim, and Ben in the crowd. A couple of songs later Chris talked about the last time he played there at the Mad Season show and how much that meant to him and the community - and proceeded to introduce Mike McCready as a surprise guest on stage!!! Mike played lead guitar for "River of Deceit" and "Hunger Strike" (solo version with Chris singing only his parts). The whole crowd was electric - it was amazing. He covered Johnny Cash's version of "Rusty Cage" which was a cool touch. All in all he played damn near 3 hours all the way up till midnight - which is the curfew for shows in Seattle. So glad I was able to be a part of it!!!
Brother and I still looking for a pair of seats for the Cleveland show next week!

Sounds like a great show last night. I hope he has some steam leftover for the Vancouver show tonight. I've been to hundreds of concerts and this will be my very first one that I've had front row tickets too (GA shows don't really count). Seems the random email telling list members that the onsale already started actually got fans some decent tickets.
