ISO Information about a CD

cjzolycjzoly Posts: 508
I have searched the PJCollectors and not found much so I come hear seeking information...What I have is a three (3) CD set from the July 11, 1995 PJ Soldier Field Show presented by Monkeywrench Pirate Radio. This is not the Spin the Black Circle released by KNTP The Point. It says it was put out by Parrot a subsidiary of Red Robin Records...It is numbered and also has Bonus Tracks from Summerfest in Milwaukee, WI from July 8th and 9th, 1995 with The Frogs and even has Chad Smith from RHCP drumming on Little Wing and Maggot Brain. The liner notes are by Doctor Jimmy? Anyone got any information on this...Rare...Everyone has it...I am not supposed to have it...It is missing from the PJ archives and I should return it...Looking for any insights from the PJ Yodas...??? If I could figure out photos I would post...
Thanks,
Chris

It's a bootleg - one of the coolest ones from that time period, but it's definitely unofficial.

yep, one of the all time best purchases I ever made at the local record store at Penn State. I think it was $60 or 70 at the time and I thought i was crazy but the sound and rawness too it was priceless. Red Robin. Missing Animal from the songs but listed on the set list. I think you can find some info on it on TFT as they discuss the rare vinyl too etc

Animal is missing from the disc but this set did come with Animal on a cassette single.
I think one version of the CD set was numbered to 1,000 copies but others (like mine) have no numbering.

Mine is numbered 0683 on the inside and the label is in black ink not blue...Also in the lower left corner it looks like yours says "Robin", whereas, mine say "Parrot"...Cool thanks for the information...There is another printed sheet inside that says the cassette EP contains Animal and Who covers unearthed from the PJ vault of:

    "The Kids Are Alright"
    "I'm One"
    and "Baba O"

    Shit I need the cassette...

The funny thing is the PS that states "If you paid more than $45 for this set inform the bastard ya got it from that they are scum & that the ghost of Moony is on his way to f*ck things up!"

I'm guessing yours is like the one pictured in this thread: http://community.pearljam.com/discussion/134880/live-at-soldier-field-cd

It really is a good sounding boot, but I think this one sounds even better although I don't believe it to include complete show.
