There is always something nice. It may not seem like it, but every now and then when you really contemplate the day, you'll find a good nugget in the darkest of days. (No, today is not a dark day for me.)

Is there a song that you just cannot pour enough of yourself into right now? You close your eyes and you don't want to just hear it but you want to really LISTEN to it?

Absolutely. Had to have a cast cut off of my leg after 4 days because the claustrophobia attack was so bad. (Would have happened sooner, but it was a holiday weekend.) Tight spaces. Crowds. No thank you.

Is today the day that a long project starts for you?

Do you need to look at your diet a little more carefully now WHO has said processed meats can increase COLON cancer incidence by 18%?

Since my grandmother died of colon cancer, yes-- I should. I needed to a bit more anyway. That is kind of a bit more of a kick in the ass that I didn't plan on.

Disregarding the WHO findings for a moment, isn't good bacon simply wonderful?

Yes , but I also have colon cancer in my family, mum, brother and nephew all died from it so I am happy to say no to the processed meats.

Well, sugar is a carb so this one puzzles me. Sugar would be harder to give up than processed meats, though.

I don't believe it is technically processed, more like cured.

Here they have to be taken in for separate disposal. Lots of hardware stores and the like have receptacles.

Do you have curbside recycling where you live?

  • ldent42ldent42 Posts: 7,859
I I think so. The recycles get picked up by recycle garbage trucks, which do not smell anywhere near as bad as regular garbage trucks.

Yes but only if not beyond 90 minutes or so. Otherwise, cranky and out of it for a while.
