    I had that happen to me on a 12 - 15 foot wave once and almost drowned. I never went out again on anything higher then 8 footers after that. I'm not sure how he survived.

    Can't say I blame you! I was in Tofino a while back and had a chance to try surfing for the first time....was gung ho until I saw the waves. I have a fear of undertow since getting caught in one as a kid....the thought of getting tossed around by those waves, then dragged out to sea was enough for me to say 'nah....water's too cold' :wink: I will grow a pair and try it someday.
