Drove by the LA headquarters yesterday. Was tempted to go in for a visit.

If you do, don't forget to wear a tin foil hat, bb.

I should've went in there acting all interested in their cult. Haha
Like Adam Sandler and his buddy trying to score cult babes!

I just watched it last night - wow. And I live in LA so I know a couple people involved with it. I worked with Paul Haggis years ago and he was a nice guy. One bad story - I knew somebody who had a coke problem who did the Scientology rehab program and got cleaned up. Then once he was clean - duh - he realized what a load of shit Scientology was and he left. And they totally harassed him. Called him, told him he was gonna be back on coke soon, threatened him, really treated him badly. He moved away and is fine now.

But they also accept Jesus so I guess it's more palatable for some.

I used to think Scientology was just a tax dodge....a way for the wealthy to "donate" to their church and then travel the world visiting the church locations using tax deductible money. They are truly a cult.

The whole idea behind "SEA-ORG" is absolutely crazy...how they got the IRS to back down blows my mind.

Crazy seeing a religion start up. First a cult, then gain followers and acceptance and someday it will just be another bat sh!t religion people believe in. But it will be "normal"

    They all start like that.

So GF,the important part of what your saying, since expanding blood vessels are a by product of more produced CO2 in the body and the relaxing of the vessels means laughing will give you better stronger erections.
    Laughing equals- strong like bull!

Who dosent feel better about that.More reason to always keep a positive attitude. And a smile on your face.

Thank you GF for that wonderful public service announcement from Team Conservative.

I just watched this show. I simply don't understand how intelligent human being would fall for this. I still have no idea what these people actually believe in. What church send you to "jail" for saying anything negative. This is truly unbelievable.

Are any of you MT people scientologist? I have a thousand questions. Most of them are why?

exactly...once you figure out that scientology is insane it isn't too much further to realize that christianity is right behind it

Do you think they really believe this garbage, or are they just in it to get ahead? The contacts in Hollywood alone might be worth putting up with it, for an actor.

Oh boy - if the latter, that'd be a sad reflection of character.

(although if the former, not so good either)

I have a thing for women in rock in general. I wouldn't call it the "slutty" versoin. The sexed-up sweaty version.

My brother's a borderline genius, and he's a born again christian who believes gays are the work of the devil. so I don't think it's totally accurate to say that intelligence really factors into it.

This is the puzzling aspect of religion for me: in many cases, you have very intelligent people caught up in beliefs that simply defy logic and science.

Introduced at an early age, one can understand why a person would embrace and hold tight what was taught to them while they were influential. Your brother- according to you- is near genius and is 'born again'. These type of cases baffle me.
