BTW -. I guess the B1G wasn't "down" this year. BS bias.

I think Rick Pitino is Nosferatu. An undead walker of the night.

It's true! Look at him. He (it?) is at least 121 years old.

It is so crazy how the seeding is. Nova getting Wisconsin in the second round is nuts. I'm sure Kansas isn't looking forward to playing Sparty.

Again, how in the heck did Minnesota get a 5 seed??? I was surprised they made the tourney.

I almost feel like Minnesota was given a huge boost based more on their turnaround. But you're right about Nova. They got screwed. Wisky.....Early top 10 team, has a run of bad luck in games, gets an 8 seed? Total BS.

Heard the B1G was down all year. However, Purdue played Nova damn near equal in the opening week of the season - and I've felt that should have been the barometer used for assessing conference supremacy. Apparently, it just meant Mackey arena is tough to play at. Bad judgement. B1G might not have a team with 30 wins, but they were solid.

    Motherfucker!

despite me having Nova win it all i'm actually still doing pretty well in my brackets (i think i'm in the 75% tile in yahoo and espn). Now if Rhode Island can beat Oregon tonight I would be doing better (already had Michigan beating Louisville).

Defense kept the intensity and the offense woke up after halftime! That's what happened! I've been a Gamecock going back to my senior year of high school (2000/2001) and that second half is without a doubt the best 20 minutes of basketball I've seen from our team.

Thornwell certainly may be the player that means the most to his team. Too early to say MVP of the whole tournament so far. Other players have also had some fantastic games...Tyler Dorsey (Oregon) comes to mind.
  • 65 points in the second half. 18 Duke turnovers. Crazy.

You wouldn't remember the BJ McKie years, then. We had some great games then, not to mention going back to our ACC years. This game may be the most important, though.

I remember them, and watched a few games. I just wasn't a fan at that time.

congrats to the South Carolina fans here. great weekend for you guys. 1st NCAA tourney win since 1973 then beat the evil empire to get to the Sweet 16. awesome stuff.

any weekend where both nova and duke lose is a lot of fun for me.

Arkansas got hosed late by the refs. blatant charge not called in a 1-point game after missing a block shot that went out of bounds although I think shot clock might have run out on that play anyway but that is not the explanation the ref gave. he said it wasn't blocked. huh?

so apparently Gregg Marshall's wife is a bit of a nut case huh? anyone see this? she had to be approached by security multiple times during the game for behavior issues and was escorted from floor after game for cursing. saw some vids and pictures. she looks nuts.

Thanks pjhawks. Still on cloud 9.

Wish I had seen that UNC play. I saw Twitter blow up about it, but haven't actually seen it.

Not too surprising concerning Marshall's wife. She was a loose cannon when he was at Winthrop. I know of at least 2 fan bases in the Big South that had issues with her...probably more, they just didn't protest enough.

  • I've heard she's the reason SC didn't want to hire Marshall. Could just be gossip but looks like we dodged a bullet.

MSU really gave KU a run for their money until the last 7 minutes or so. Purdue won't be any easier.
