Weather is hanging on. We're at our seats. A bunch of old leathery birds around us. Don't care what they play. So excited.

Looks like you guys got a really good set Vant, in my mind at least. It's probably not on many people's wish lists, but I would have been really psyched over Out Of Control.

For sure. It was a great show. Moonlight Mile was cool. The boys seemed a little rusty to start but by mid set, they were really good.

Highlight: Midnight Rambler. The end jam was incredible and gets me every time.
Lowlight: making excellent time from the stadium to my purposely chosen parking ramp for said ramps proximity to a major highway only to realize that I left my Columbia rain coat back in the stadium at my seat. With my keys in it. Imagine my - and my dear wife's - dismay at the realization that we had to fight back through the throng of people we just hustled to beat.

But all is well. Got home super late. Tired. Sore. No voice. Wrecked today with no option to miss work. I suspect that in 53 years, many Stones fans have felt the same way the next day.

    Great show.

but I would have been really psyched over Out Of Control.

i was definitely psyched for it. certainly wasn't expecting it to pop up at all. i feel like if that song and saint of me came out in the '70s, they'd be considered classics.

had a great time. 21 years in between seeing stones shows and it certainly doesn't feel like they aged that much. like vant said, it took a couple songs to get into the groove, but once they were there it was on. chances are it's the last time i will see them, so i'm just glad the show was memorable.

    Lowlight... Ouch.

All that careful, deliberated planning... about to capitalize on it... and then realize you were Homer Simpson.

Pumped for tomorrow night. Watching/Listening to some old Texas shows to get ready. Watched "Ladies And Gentlemen....The Rolling Stones", listened to "Fuckin' Wonderful" which is the Cotton Bowl show from Halloween '81, and now I'm watching "Some Girls Live In Texas '78".

Show poster looks really cool. I'm a little less psyched about the shirt because I dislike the Cowboys, but it's not a bad looking shirt and it makes sense to have such a shirt considering it's the Stones at Jerryworld.

I'm hoping Rocks Off wins the song vote, or Heartbreaker. Respectable I don't really care about, and Street Fighting Man has been played quite a bit over the years, and I've heard it.

Great song choices for the fan vote.

Also, that's three posters with sunset themes...

That's what I voted for, would be psyched for Heartbreaker as well though. Luckily on the shirt they have a few other shirt designs for us non-Cowboy fans, as well as another poster for those that didn't like the Cowboy thing.

I didn't vote; it's your show. But anything off that list would be fine with me. I do think Heartbreaker would be cool.

Just got home from the show. I had a great time, but it wasn't the best Stones show I've seen. The sound was bad at times, sometimes I think it was just the venue, and other times I think they were having some sound issues. Like during Sympathy For The Devil. The setlist was as conservative as it gets, except Rocks Off, but that was the fan vote song. It sounded fantastic though, they did a good job with it. But other than that it was wall-to-wall Warhorses, plus Moonlight Mile and Doom And Gloom. I guess Mick didn't trust the big Texas crowd, and actually he was right, they were pathetic. Three songs into the show and the majority of the crowd (except the floor) were already sitting down. And wanting everybody else to sit down, which wasn't happening. They'd get up for Honky Tonk Women or something, then sit down again, then up again for Miss You, etc. It's a good thing they didn't get too rare, because this crowd seemed confused by pretty well known songs like Let's Spend The Night Together, Bitch and Moonlight Mile. I had a good time though, loved hearing the old classics and getting to hear Rocks Off. It was one of my most wanted songs.

The sound seems to be muddy on the tour so far.

Still, it's such a great time. I think we all know they won't be around much longer, at least as a touring band, and so whatever we get now is still pretty great. I watched Crossfire the other night and couldn't help but think how far they've come since then. It's extremely rare for such a meteoric rise to NOT correspond with a complete plummet. They rose and then? They stayed...

    Incredible.

The sound at AT&T was worse than just muddy. There were some pretty bad sound issues, namely the echo. Which at times made it sound like they were all playing out of sync. It seems like the experience was different all over the stadium though. There were plenty of sweet and not so-sweet spots, both in terms of sound and crowd behavior. I had pretty good seats, 10 rows above the floor and about equal with where the catwalk came out to, so I had a great view, but we were apparently in some sort of bad spot for sound. Most of the show was just drums and bass, and I really had to struggle to hear any guitar, which is mainly what I personally want to hear. But when they'd kick guitars into gear on songs like Sympathy or for solos in any song, and it would just turn into a mess of echoes and feedback.

Still, I had a great time. The setlist may have been a bit boring, but they played it with enthusiasm. I'd love to hear a bootleg of it, because the audience recordings I've heard (from sections with less sound issues) are great. There was nothing wrong with The Stones themselves, just the way their sound was carried around that pointlessly large stadium.

I went to Dallas last weekend. Amazing show. The guys are playing at a very high level, it was my 4th show since the 50 and counting tour and 7th overall. Even though the set lists are mostly predictable, it's still a must see. I've read many interviews with Mick recently about set lists and keeping it "safe". They absolutely nailed moonlight mile, however the crowd seemed bored and disinterested during this gem (one of my all time favorite songs). Overall, the crowd was great, but I was sad to see this during such a brilliant song. Of course they all went nuts during the warhorses.
If anyone has a chance to see them, don't think twice about it. Mick is ageless, Woody and Keef are playing as good as ever, and Charlie hasn't lost a beat

There are a couple of really great audience sources for the Orlando show up over at IORR. Sounds like an awesome show, She's So Cold sounded fantastic.

I went to Atlanta and it was awesome. I mean "You Gotta Move" and "Some Girls" plus a lot of hits? The sound was really good in ATL as well. Had a blast.

It's clear that the last half of every show is more or less cemented, but last night, Nashville got a pretty sweet early set.

Pretty much the same set list they've been playing every show?(besides Far Away Eyes & Dead Flowers). Only changing a song, or two the most?

4 changes by my count. Rocking, Far Away Eyes, Dead Flowers, Wild Horses have all been played not at all or sparingly. Context matters when the band in question is going on 50+ years, I suppose...

I could do without YGMR. We got it in Vegas a few years ago. It's not a bad song, but I can think of so many other songs (even recent ones) they should play instead.

Agree. Even though it's mostly predictable, they're still so good and the shows are amazing. We almost went to Nashville and decided not to at the last minute. That setlist was great.
