they never announce a tour then sell tickets... IF it's a S.A tour in November, you won't need to be a current member till the day before tickets go on sale. Never ever sell tickets the day a tour is announced.

I'm fully aware of that. This is just the first time there's been an announcement about an announcement that didn't advise about the status of your membership, that's all.

Probably only one show in the US this year, which will be the Global Citizen festival in NYC at the end of September. Then probably off to Canada for two weeks in October. Then two weeks off to break and get their gear down to SA, and then tour SA for a few weeks.

I will plan on going to see them in Canada (hopefully a two night weekend show in Toronto), but will be very disappointed if they only play one show in the US this year at the Global Citizen festival. Unfortunately, I think that's how this tour will go down.

    there's a website http://eddieveddertours.com/ that says
Eddie Vedder tour 2015 is coming soon and you can see the show live as Eddie Vedder hits the road for the latest series of concerts. The next date on the Eddie Vedder tour is going to be announced soon with dates set for the upcoming schedule. The final date as of today has not been set, so stay tuned for updates

The plan for Eddie Vedder is to spend most of 2015 performing in as many cities as possible. Changes to the 2015 Eddie Vedder tour are very likely, so stop by often for the latest updates. Don't forget to purchase your tickets fast for the Eddie Vedder shows before they sell out.

That text reminds me of one of those sites where you can change the text in the URL and the website text changes...or, change your clock on your computer and "2015" can change to "1981" or whatever your clock says.

In other words...100% hype and speculation. Friday's announcement is the South American tour and nothing else. I see 10-15 dates between Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Mexico and maybe 1-2 other nearby (NOT USA) countries.

There are rumors of a USA Pearl Jam "event" this year, but this will not be announced on Friday.

I think you're right on the money....but what will be announced on Friday is just the South American stuff.

I can't believe people are guessing anything other than South America. These shows have been rumored since fall 2014.

People keep mentioning Canada and/or small US tour. Are there any actual rumors? It seems like just wishful thinking based on 2005/2011 when the band also visited SA. Both those years there were rumors/leaks about Canada early in the year.
    2003 - June 15 Fargo
    2005 - Sept 1 George, Sept 8 Winnipeg

    2007 - Aug 2/5 Chicago
    2008 - June 22 Washington, June 24/25 New York
    2009 - Aug 21 Toronto, Aug 23/24 Chicago, Sept 21/22 Seattle, Oct 27/28/30/31 Philadelphia

there were no rumors about the midwest tour other than ACL, so the fact that there have been no rumors doesn't mean it isn't going to happen, a Canadian Tour with 7 to 10 shows would take 2 to 3 weeks and could be organized rather easily in a short period of time, especially if it is in the hockey off season, I wouldn't expect any Canadian dates to be announced more than 3 months out anyway

Plus if you look back, there were Canada rumours even while we were on the Midwest road trip last year. I'd stand to argue that they have been around for almost as long, if not longer than the SA rumours.
