Here we go again, another thread about how these boots sound like crap. Hey Pearl Jam, it seems that no matter what you do for the fan club, most members seem to shit all over what you offer. Maybe you should stop offering bootlegs to your fans, it sounds like they would be happier then. Hey pearl Jam did you know that half the people in the fan club don't even like Avocado? Hmmmm......
I'm grateful for the boots, and the music is (as always) amazing.
However, go back and listen to 2005 and 2006 boots, then listen to a 2008 boot. I favor the previous boots. The music is crisper, the crowd is there, and the mix/mastering just sounds better.
With that said, i'm not complaining... just stating an opinion.

Hey PJ why is it that when you offer 1st come 1st serve tickets and all these wonderfull opportunities to see you live; or purchase items from you, that you fan base is mostly talking trash about you and the system? Hey PJ maybe you should get rid of the fan club and then relish in the fact that the same people that cried about your bootlegs are the same ones that will cry when you cancel there membership.
After seeing and hearing what I think was one of the best all around shows set, energy and sound-wise I cant help but be really let down by how this bootleg came out. The sound at the Dodge was phenomenal and the boot doesn't even come close to doing it justice. The '06 boot is HEAD AND SHOULDERS above it in terms of the mixing and after hearing the 'Roo boot I guess I had higher expectations. Just disappointed I guess. Let the flaming begin...
It sounds fine, there is nothing wrong with this boot. It is possible you recieved a malfucksion.
I was listening to the MSG boots, and have one question. Why take all the crowd noise out? I mean you can hear it, but I wanted to HEAR it. The audience recording of MSG2 is soooooooo much better then the official boot. The official boot doesnt come close to capturing the energy of the show. Hopefully they realize the crowd noise is good and think about that when mixing the VIC boot.

On the Mansfield boots the crowd is REALLY loud.

To be honest I prefer not hearing the crowd as much on the official boot only so I can hear Ed and the music better. What I think some are forgetting is that the Hartford crowd wasn't the loudest or into it as first simply because it was hot and muggy as hell that night, so I felt that that took a toll. But can't wait to burn it on my Zune!

I couldn't agree more, I'm a bit confused, this is the best sounding boot from this tour that I have heard, in my opinion, maybe Mansfield 2 is close, but I'm still waiting to for my MSG 2
