HAHAHAHAHA....this thread is making me laugh, cos its pretty much the EXACT same thing that happened LAST WEEK when ppl were shooting down the sydney 2 concert...........i was at Sydney 2, it was my first ever PJ concert, and i fucken enjoyed myself.......thats all i care about!

to go to a PJ concert just to hear betterman is pretty lame if ya ask me...

i mean, i was disappointed at syd 2 end when they didnt play ledbetter, but then i quickly realised........HEY, I FUCKEN JUST SAW PEARL JAM!

i dont understand people who complain about these concerts....we've been waitin for a tour for years, and itll be years more b4 we get another one...enjoy it while it lasts.

maybe people are just buiding up their expectations in their head to something that would be impossible to fulfill...
    Sydney Wed 8 Nov 2006....

when all are one and one is all, to be a rock and not to roll.........

    see me @ www.myspace.com/bigmuzz

    keep on rockin!.......
  • serioulsy i just dont understand all the complaining! its embarassing.. every fucking concert has rocked cause I had a great night, I didnt go to any concert to worry about others, to check if they were standing, to measure how hard they were singing, to see how many hand claps they did.. i went there, had fun for me, and every concert rocked! sydney 1, 2, brissy 1 and im sure sydney 3 as well! my god ive never seen so many whingers in my life.. others are right ITS FUCKING PEARL JAM!!!!! they could come out, sit down and talk to us for 2 hours play 1 song, and i would have the time of my life!
and the second oster.. have you ever heard any boots?? they always do 2 encores! brissy 1 fucking rocked!!! it was pure magic! what a waste of a ticket on you! i hope you dont come again and take up someone else's spot!

im just confused as to why people are not going to have fun for themselves adn constantly whinging about how others enjoy the concert, get a life and worry about yourself! ( the sydney night 1 boot rocks, too by the way!!!!!)

Ok, so these guys have bladders the size of peanuts !!!!
they actually left the stage 3 times before the end of the concert and well before the time for an "encore"
    I admire your loyalty ...
Alow me my freedom of speech.

They sound smart leaving to go to the toilet... I almost let my kidneys explode at Sydney #2 2006..... I think it was due to the fact i had to sit down and wasn't allowed to expel energy or sweat like Sydney #1.... f#$% you section 42 Sydney #2 (unless you stood up :D)

I think the aussie tour started off slow in sydney but now they are cooking once more! I think in 2003 they were just wamring up but in 2006 they have played for almost a year.
I'm just flying around the other side of the world to say I love you

wow, its like you went inside my head and extracted my exact thoughts...
Syd 2 was also my first concert and I had an awesome night. Wouldve liked to hear Marker In the Sand myself, maybe in newcastle...
Still, best band Ive seen live so far - cant understand why anyone would want to walk out early
  • Maybe this is why the Asutralian crowds suck. They're too concerned with the encore breaks.

Yes, one "fan" from New Zealand = Australian crowds. *mutters something about whinging poms cos, you know, nothing wrong with generalisations and all that*

have people worked out why this is os far the best australian tour ever? Because other years they have warmed up here and than moved onto the US this year they are finishing over here therefore they are on fire and in my opinion in the best form of their careers....

Exactly.. i remember the last tour the Ed was forgetting the words to songs and they were no where near as tight. On my bootleg from one of the melb shows he forgets the words half way through Elderly Woman.

From the first two shows i've seen in Melbourne, this is as tight and as good as they've ever sounded. How anybody could be dissapointed is beyond me.
  • pj were simply great have tobest live rock band in the world right now there music was soo soo tight eddie was charasmatic and thankfully we have people like pj who can get "the message" out there saw them last tour to melbourne they were good then but absolutely brillant this time and people i am a bloody 51 yo

  • I Think that post was summed up very very siccinctly, and with alot more respect than i would have show the poster in question to be honest.

Im curious to know though, given you didnt get the last album, and given the set list, is it that you were lost and didnt know the songs? I think that possibly had an impact on your night. The simple fact is that if the only Pearl Jam album you have is 'rearviewmirror' and you expect to hear all the songs on that record, youre going to be sorely disappointed with the majority of PJ shows - theyre not that kind of band, and i for one, and damn thankful for that.

Next time, save yourself the hassle, put the 'RVM' album on and give the seat to someone who will appreciate it.

As for the merch, i thought the tees and hoodies were fuckin cool.

    Each to their own though.
