    Finally, some good news here.

    Other than their insane practice of scraping the landscape for that dirty tar sand, Canada sure has it's shit together. Legal hemp crops and legalized doctor assisted suicide. Good show, Canada! :clap:

    There is one year, I believe, for the particulars to be worked out. This sounds like a long time but really isn't, given the importance of this issue and the wide scope. We don't want to face any charter challenges, or legal challenges if the details aren't clear. Really, at this point about all we know is that it appears to apply to competent adults and does not specify that the medical condition is quickly terminal.

    That's quite a mixed bag of actions, and none of them (with the possible exception of abortion, depending on your viewpoint) involve one individual directly causing or facilitating the death of another individual.

    good point. but there are risks with any surgery. including death. regardless if the procedure is elective or not. most of those are not deliberately causing death though.
