and without video i would have never been able to see that...
IMO video is OK, camera is OK, flash is not. 10c policy says so as well. But EV policy was no cameras at all. There really shouldn't be that much more to say...
Yes I can read and I did respect the wishes etc., but I did have to snap a quick pic of EV for my cell phone. And then I tossed it back in my purse where it stayed.
I gave him my undivided attention both nights.
What pissed me off more than anything, was the tall kid with spiky hair, plaid shirt and glasses, who talked on his cell phone through the 2nd show!!!!!!
OMG! LOSER
And then the first night, this chick behind me tapped me during one of my farovite Cat Stevens songs (Trouble) asking me to move over to a different seat!? WTF? I just turned back to the show and ignored her. The next song was perfect STAND MY GROUND - it confirmed my rejection to her request.
I don't post a lot but I was at the show and saw the guy who yelled to Ed complaining of security. I was in row 6 a few seats over from him. What I saw was early in the show he took out his camera and started taking photos. He was not trying to hide it at all and was on the last seat on the aisle. Naturally the ushers saw him and then came over and told him not too. He decided to act like a child and as soon as the ushers turned their backs to walk away he decided to flip them off about six times with both hands. Of course security saw this and came over to talk to him about it.
Later security waited till Ed finished the song he was playing and came to the side of the aisle to motion to someone in the middle to put away their camera. That was when the guy started yelling to Ed about security hounding everyone. After the show ended as I was leaving. I saw him walk up to where the ushers and security were standing. He then looked to be telling them off and walked away fipping them off again.
I myself had no problems with any of the venue staff. They were very helpful to me in finding my seats and even talked a bit about the show to me as they were fans as well. I feel if Ed had seen the way someone from his own fan club section was acting towards the staff he would have been really dissapointed.
I worked security years ago and saw a guy who I was working with take a beer bottle in the eye for asking someone not to smoke during a show. It is not an easy job to be responsible for everyones safety above your own. They should really be cut some slack, they didn't make the rules they are just paid to enforce them.

I agree 100%
Although not all the seats up close were 10c. We were scattered all over the floor.
I was a few rows right behind the guy taking pictures and getting hassled, im just wondering why you cant just sit back and enjoy the show. They should take those fucking cell phones away from everybody at the door and smash them with a hammer. I cant go to any show without someone bringing those things out and text messaging or taking shitty photos.....its disrespectful and distracting to those people behind you trying to enjoy the show. Phones are invading every aspect of our lives and its really starting to piss me off. Please people just leave them at home and take a vacation of sort from your hectic lives. Those are my 2 cents.
wish i could have gotten security's attention night 2
the guy next to me in the second level was on his iphone with the super bright LED screen half the show
his friend next to him was taking flash picts or vids most of the night
holding the camera out in front of himself like frankenstein would
only once did the female usher, not security, stop him
And even if it said 'no cameras' on signs outside, nobody ever pays attention to those.
just saying..
Its printed on the tickets people have had in their possesion for over a month. its on Pearl Jam's website and message board. Its on big signs outside the venue. Security warns you as you enter the building.
but because "nobody ever pays attention to those" things, its ok to snap pictures all night? i don't buy it. It is not security's fault you don't pay attention to the signs all around you. its yours.
