Weird that neither box mentions the first pitch cards
It is weird. But it's in there. They were unboxing these last night on Topp's live YouTube stream. I've never seen grown adults yelling, jumping in the air & getting so excited opening a pack of baseball cards in my life. The kids that were opening the packs weren't even into it.
Never bought or traded cards in my life. So this may be a dumb question...If you buy a box, are you getting all the first pitch cards in it or you are just banking on luck to draw a few if any at all?

There's 350 base cards in Series 1. This box ($49.99 one) contains 24 packs. 10 cards in a pack. 288 total cards. How many doubles, triples etc.. you might get? Could always trade them which is pretty fun. I started collecting O-Pee-Chee hockey cards from '87 - 94 and many other brands. Proset, Score, Upper Deck etc.. Good times trading.
Not gonna pay that much just for an Ed card which is the only thing I want. I'm sure starting today you will see A LOT of Eddie Vedder cards showing up on eBay. I have one secured but might try for fun and pick up a pack or 2 next time I visit my local collectable shop or Walmart for a 2nd card.

^^^Ditto what D said^^^. The purchase of a box gives no guarantee to any specific card(s). Most collectors go after the boxes because they do guarantee a type of certain card, etc. (i.e. one autographed card/box). That's half the fun tho....kinda like PJ's mystery boxes where you have a vague idea of what you're getting but don't really know til you start pulling off the wrappers.
Also, it's worth noting this series of Topps cards is typically produced in massive volume and doesn't carry a whole lot of value. Like other have stated, we should see in the coming days a good supply of Ed cards on the market.

Exactly. Just wait a few day's. You'll probably find an Ed card super cheap online or given away for free here. You never know ..
The odds for first pitch cards are 1:8 for a regular pack or 1:3 for the jumbo packs. I bought a box and didn't get any. If you are only after the one card then just buy it, it'll probably be cheaper.
I am a baseball card nerd. Each year I buy a case ea of Topps Series 1, 2 & update Hobby, and 2 Cases of Topps Heritage. Of course I buy these for my nephews...because a grown man shouldn't spend $$$ on cardboard....right....
For everyone that doesn't do cards and wants to buy a box, don't do it. The odd of u getting one is not good.
This card will be easily had and most card collectors will be happy to get rid of these.
$5 max for the card!!! It's not worth a cent to a baseball card collector.
Retail...I'll pick up a hobby box at the local card show (yes the still exist). I'll probably be able to pick up the Vedder card for cheap there as well. My friend picked up a Henry Rollins autograph card for a few bucks because nobody knew he was...the Vedder card should be had for cheap as long as people don't inflate the Ebay prices too much.
How are complete sets of the first pitch series being sold?
They weren't available as a complete standalone set, were they?

Ah Ha! So let me guess you've been telling the guys they should make baseball cards for years and they finally did it with the Wrigley and Spectrum cards. Nice!
Wouldn't it be funny if the world ended in 2010, with lots of fire?

You buy the cases?? That's big money. I buy a box of almost all the releases where you have guaranteed hits like Bowman Inception or Triple Threads.

Don't think you will get all 15 first pitches card in one of these boxes. http://www.topps.com/collectibles/trading-cards/all-trading-cards/baseball-trading-cards/baseball-series-1/2015-topps-baseball-series-1-24-pack-box.html . But you never know & get lucky.

Also a ton listed for .99 starting bid. I feel bad for the people that jumped at it and bought them for $19.99.
$5 card...
I got mine from the same seller I believe....best deal on eBay in a long time!
