Happen to literally hundreds of people, heard so many horror stories. Yeah I bought mine the very second the pats won the afc championship, flew out from Maine only to find when I got to Phoenix on Friday that my money was being refunded because the suppliers never delivered. As I and hundreds of other fans stood at the box office in utter disbelief I starting thinking of which pj song should I listen to in attempt to calm down.

Is that fucking legal? Did you get the full refund? I hate to say it, but it may be time for Congress to start legislating this somehow.

I just got a refund for the ticket, some people were lucky enough to get the travel expenses paid for too. ESPN did a story on how shady the situation was.

I'm so sorry that happened to you. You seem to be taking it pretty well, considering. Just reading about it makes me furious, so I can't imagine how infuriated you must have been!
Last-12-Exit is right - the government needs to step in and legislate something. The ticket brokers are out of control.

This was the 7th Super Bowl I have gone to (the 6th one I actually got IN for). I have NEVER in seen such a RIDICULOUS demand for tickets. They were literally selling for $10,000 a piece. It was IMPOSSIBLE to find one for less than $3500 and even some of THOSE, people were being told they were getting money back instead of ACTUAL tickets. It was an OVERWHELMING Seahawks fans to Pats fans in Phoenix by almost 10-1, but the MAJORITY of them had no ticket and were coming with the "hope" they could score one. There were just NONE to be had, and to actually GET one took either connections, luck, or CRAZY money. I am blessed...Been to 6 and have seen 2 wins. One with my dad in 2002, and now one with my 13 year old son in 2015. I didn't think it could get any better than celebrating the Pats first one with my dad in '02 (especially after going to '86 and '97 with him, and seeing them lose), but this one with my son actually did. I can't imagine how it could ever get better than this one.

In a weird way, I kind of owe Pearl Jam. Because of the crazy amount of traveling I did with them for the Fall Tour, I earned a BUNCH of Airline, Hotel, and Travel "Points". Those points earned me 2 free flights, a free night hotel, and a free rental car for my Super Bowl trip. EASILY a $2000 savings given the market, and thanks to my "friend", my game tickets only cost me $2400 for the pair (only $500 over face value for the PAIR, which really IS absolute STEAL), so in the end, 2 Round Trip Airfare, 2 nights hotel, 3 days of rental car, and 2 tickets to the Bowl cost me just about $3500. So, THANK-YOU Pearl Jam!!! Not only did I witness some of your BEST shows in Memphis, Moline, and Denver, but I got to have an INCREDIBLE Super Bowl Experience with my boy! I'm ready to re-start the cycle! How bout some HAWAII dates!!! I need some points to pay for Super Bowl 50 in Cali!!!

I saw news coverage on the Superbowl tix scam last night.... Seriously, I almost cried. There was this one poor guy outside the stadium, all decked out in this Seahawks gear, barely able to get his words out because he was so choked up about not being able to get in because he got screwed, saying how it was his dream to be in there.... Seriously, my heart broke a little for him! I hate to see anyone that crushed. :(

Super Bowl week was a blast. Other than the travesty of the brokers I thought my town did a really good job. Much, much better than the last go around in 2009. I was really impressed with what they did by the convention center area especially. The night club scene in Scottsdale was insane from what I heard from the interns. I work right next to the W in Scottsdale where all the main night clubs are. We had fun walking around during lunch and seeing everything as it was being setup. I'm sure those that went for the shows had an amazing time. The only complaint I have is with a faction of the Seahawk fans that seemed to forget how to speak in any other volume than gameday, in the stadium volume. I have never seen so many people just standing there screaming at nothing. Literally just standing on the sidewalk by themselves screaming into the open air.
