  • Ummmmm no, even I have my limits! Also I was trained young to just hold it. The car stopped for one reason, it needed gas. Other than that no go, hell my Dad once even just rolled down the back window on the station wagon so my sisters could puke out the back rather than pull over.

I have done that too... but this specific time I was running late to a PJ show.

Don't you hate it when boys passive aggressively brag about being to pee anywhere....

    I'm not a boy

Courage is not the problem if I gots to pee then I'll make it happen, however peeing in a bottle so I don't have to pull over takes far too much effort and planning...hell nothing like a road trip in a skirt with no undies just so I can attempt to pee in a bottle.
Otherwise if a girls gotta go a girls gotta go, whether it be in a snowbank or the bushes at the golf course...although now that I think about it all of those times were precluded by a fair amount of beverage intake...hmmmmmm

It had to be done out of necessity...the story is on the boards here, but the cliff notes version: it was a freak snowstorm, I was driving home, it took me 2 hours to drive 15 miles, I had another 10 miles to go and I *had* to go...there was no "pull off to the side of the road", or I'd be putting on a show for everybody.

    I was also wearing pants.

don't u hate it when the postman rings the bell like there's a fire before 8am just to deliver some clothes you ordered online?

don't u hate it when the delivery you were anticipating was actually shoved in the mailbox and you have to go downstairs and get it?

don't u hate it when you are trying to start washing dishes and there is no hot water?

don't u hate it when the cashier bags your groceries in the least logical way possible (produce on the bottom, box of SOS pads on top) so that you have to stop outside and re-pack everything crouched on the sidewalk like an ocd moron?

    I've had a rough day.

    it just takes practice.
and it helps if you have had a few brews....for the courage factor.

  • When you're at a restaurant and the family sitting 3 tables over has a 3 or 4 year old that is screaming his head off and nobody at the table even acknowledges it and just lets him wail away. I felt like turning around and saying "will somebody shut that fucking kid up?!?"

    " I have to take a piss!!"

" hey, I'm on the.... Uh, ER, this isn't the BATHROOM!!!"

  • When you're at a restaurant and the family sitting 3 tables over has a 3 or 4 year old that is screaming his head off and nobody at the table even acknowledges it and just lets him wail away. I felt like turning around and saying "will somebody shut that fucking kid up?!?"

There IS a reason why they're ignoring the kid.. It's to prove to the kid that screaming and wailing isn't going to get them the attention they seek. But the best one I ever saw was, we were at a Denny's once, middle of the night, and this lady walks in with her three kids. They sit, the litest one starts crying, soon all three are crying. The poor mom is just exasperated, and by now the toddler had flung herself on the floor and is wailing over the other two kids. Finally the mom just stands up tells her waitress to excuse her, and proceeds to out tantrum her kids! Within seconds, all the kids are just it ting JB stunned silence... Then she grabs the toddler, sits her down, and the kid starts to cry again.. So she just walks away. ( only about ten feet) she turns her back to them. And suddenly all is deathly still. Then she returns to the table, and begins to tell all of them that everytime they throw a tantrum, she's going to join in.. Those kids were quiet as church mice the whole rest of the visit!! It rose toapplause from the other two patrons!! Lol
  • I get it ignoring the kid to prove a point. But at some point it must be addressed that that behavior in public is unacceptable. I get that it's a 4 year old, but damn, it's annoying.
  • Totally agree with you Ladt 1-2. But to each parent their own method. When I was a Nanny, I NEVER allowed that. I always packed Em' up and we left.

kid might not be getting the positive attention he/she needs so has to resort to (appropriate) toddler behavior to deal with those complicated feelings that can't yet be articulated (or may be hungry, bored, tired, sick, over-sugared...) I just hate it when a person at any age has needs that are ignored

Or when you're at a restaurant, and the family next to you is playing with a baby by bouncing it up and down, and said baby projectile vomits all over everybody's meal, and the smell of baby puke waifts over to your table, but the place is packed do you're stuck where you're sitting..and oh look, here comes your food.
