When colored vinyl first came out it had a lot of appeal, but now since everything is coming out on various colored vinyl I don't find it as special. If the price is comparable to the regular issue I will go with colored, but not if its inflated.

You can get the regular version of Sublime: Sublime on black vinyl for $28.

Thanks for posting though Will, should have mentioned that. I don't blame Newbury for pushing prices, their records sell for this or more on ebay. I thought about the Elvis one and missed out when I decided I wanted it, so I will probably get this after mulling for a bit. The extra $10 to get white vinyl is worth it to me.

Just generally speaking buying records has gone up a lot, especially the last few years. I've only been doing this for about 5, but I've noticed a huge difference.

I jumped on the Elvis ones myself. I grabbed 2.

I head over to Newbury Comics once a week or so, and I'd be willing to grab stuff for you guys. The stores will usually end up with quite a few copies even though the presales get sold out.

I'm debating on this one, but its more than extra $10 its double the regular. $56 after shipping roughly $66 after conversion and the regular is $30 in local store.

Yeah, same here. The shop in Portland usually gets everything. I scored both Modest Mouse after they sold out online.

The Portland, ME store has an ongoing deal too where if you buy two LP's you get a third free. I think its to compete with BullMoose's lower prices. Not a bad deal

I live in MA and new to the vinyl scene and trying to understand the Newbury Comics releases. They are charging much more for what appears to be just a re-press on a different color vinyl with no additional inserts or bonuses. Are they really worth the extra cost?

Used to be more of a big deal but seems like everything is repressed in color now.

Some of the releases are more limited than others, and some are numbered while others are not. All depends....not all of the releases are as expensive as this one. Prices vary.

Yeah, I hope that this price isn't a sign of things to come for future releases

When they do 40 oz. to Freedom please let me know. THAT is one I'd like to have as a colored re-release.

Question, are these from the master tapes or from CD to vinyl?

I know the reissue comes out mid January. Malt liquor colored re-issue from newbury?
