I'm gonna throw in the bad fucken brains. As long as HR can get/keep his shit together, I'm down. Oh and I also would like to throw in gaslight anthem. Only fitting....

I think HR might attack some the these PJ rail hugging listers.
He's so shot bro. Hahaha but I love the guy

Edit-thread high jack, saw them on a fucken boat in the Hudson, dead front row rail, right in front of HR. He gave me a hug after the show and said wow, you survived that.! It was insane, people jumping off the 2nd floor into the pit. Crazy shit, had a woman come up to me after the show and tapped me on the shoulder, said,"I just wanted to see who you are, I saw your back and all the pounding you guys were taking but not bailing. I wanted to see your face!" Hahahaha

How about Mumford and Sons with PJ? That would be an awesome clash of styles. It would be great to get a whole new generation in the building to see how PJ tears down a place.

    Absolutely not...

    Tool

    Or Yeah Yeah Yeahs

    I love this one!

How about someone newer? The Weeks or Thee Oh Sees? THAT would be a show!

What? Negative on Mumford? Both of their albums are outstanding and they are so different and unique to anything else that is passing for 'popular', outside of Jack.
Not a fan at all Brah. Their music doesn't do it for me.

Maybe ALT-J. That would be interesting if I couldn't have The Weeks play with them.

Yeah, I really don't like M&S. All of their songs sound the same IMHO.
Never heard of ALT-J.... to youtube! ;)

Alice in Chains or Tool would be my picks. Other than that I'd rather another Evening with Pearl Jam tour.

    Anyone BUT My Morning Jacket...
They are my second favorite band & also consistently play 3 hour shows!!!
After seeing them only get a 30 minute set on the Americanarama tour with wilco & Bob Dylan,
I NEVER want to see them open a show again,
they are just as worthy of headliner status as Pearl Jam!!!

  • MMJ or RHCP---anyone who has been down on RHCP because John left needs to reconsider. Josh can hold his own. Im With You is underrated, and I feel their new record in 2015 will eclipse that with the band as a whole getting more comfortable with Josh. He's by no means John, but the band as a whole is still a monster and always will be. Them and PJ are my top 2. Each band has songs for every single emotion and not many bands can do that effectively.

    "bigger bands"- QOTSA or AIC

"lesser known bands"- Black Rebel Motorcycle Club or Gaslight Anthem

    i've seen a few cool co-headlining tours:
RHCP and Foo Fighters in '00
    NIN and QOTSA in '05
Rob Zombie and Korn in '99

Since we are in Make Believe Land, how about Sublime (with Brad) opening for PJ? That would be just beautiful. And Lou Dog could hang out in the pit with us.

    Easily MMJ and PJ.

If not a full tour, how about we hold PJ25 next year at the Gorge and MMJ is the only other band invited and opens and plays a full set before PJ plays.

And oh yeah, PJ plays about a 10 song acoustic set in the afternoon before MMJ. A la Mansfield 2003.

    Black crows
    Zeppelin w Ed replacing Plant.

But mostly wouldn't want co headliner.

If the Avett Brothers played first, the place would go crazy.

I vote for the Avett Brothers. They would be an excellent warm-up to PJ. Different sound, but definitely one of the best live acts out there. Great songwriters.

Kings of Leon, QOTSA or Soundgarden opening for Pearl Jam.

Or Pearl Jam opening for Pink Floyd or Led Zeppelin.

    Those would be fair.

What's your part, who you are?

    2012: Arras, Berlin 1-2
    2013: Sao Paulo, Buenos Aires
    2014: Milano, Trieste, Vienna, Berlin
    2016: NY MSG 1
  • If it cut the PJ set short, I would prefer no co-headliner.

If PJ played the same amount of time, my two choices would be:
    Neil & Crazy Horse

or Umphrey's McGee as an opener with an 90 minute set.

If you are not familiar with Umphrey's McGee, check out some of their music on their youtube page linked here. I am sure some PJ fans would enjoy them.

    Happy Birthday, Eddie!

if it involves shorter sets like Tom Petty's "Farewell Tour" NO THANKS!

If it involves a farewell tour that really isn't one, but we will say it is one so we can charge higher ticket prices, NO THANKS

If it involves Pearl Jam co headlining with Pearl Jam then BRING IT ON

If I had to pick I would want My Morning Jacket

I already said it would be each band playing like 25 songs each so it would be about 4 to 4.5 hours total, and it would only be for one tour which is like 3 weeks nowadays, it's not like I am suggesting that this would be anything permanent, just something a little different for like 10 or 12 shows, but obviously it would have to be a really great band to co headline with Pearl Jam
