Wrong emoticons displaying on this site suddenly

The emoticons suddenly seem to be auto filling with some other, much shittier type of emoticons. It seems like my phone is defaulting to them. Like, misreading the symbols. The laughing guy is just a lame looking plain smile guy next to a parenthesis, for example, and not in the style hosted on this forum. I have no idea how or why this would be happening. I didn't change any settings on my phone; it just suddenly started happening for no apparent reason. Samsung Galaxy S5. Anyone know? Thanks!

    Those are supposed to be the laughing guy and the sarcastic huge smile guy. :( <<< and sad guy looks similar. Just weird.

    I noticed the same, and I'm on my computer. I like the plain ones a little better, to be honest. I still miss the old smileys. I just noticed when you type a smiley, a menu opens up and you can choose from a couple. I guess these are the most basic ones. :smile:

    Yeah, well now that I'm at work I see that it's happening on my computer too. And yes, I'm getting that little drop down menu with them as well. Weird! Maybe I`ll send 10C a link to this thread. Has to be something with their website, right?

    I have no idea, maybe this is the goodie we get today? :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

    I just found out something else! If you type the : and then a letter, if shows you a number of different ones! I like them better than the old ones. :heart::grin:

    I think you can still use the new old ones with the panel on the right upper corner. And yes, the old old ones are still my fave, but I got lazy with copy and paste. These new ones work by typing something after the : And they look a lot like the Emoji ones.

    Some of the upper right corner ones show just fine - the ones that use a symbol that the new drop down doesn't recognize at all. But when I select the old ones that are even only partly matching these new mystery ones, it translates it into an emoticon with a parenthesis next to it. No ma'am, I don't like it! [-X

    I agree. Toothy smile smily isn't very toothy. They look like the Pitfall graphics version of our regular peeps. 10c, please bring our old smily people back! These new ones suck.
